Gov Amaechi's phone numbers cloned, fake text messages being sent out - aide

According to a statement by David Iyofor, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Rotimi Amaechi, some unknown people have cloned the telephone numbers of the Governor and are using it to send fake text messages to members of the public this morning. The statement below...
This is to inform members of the public that the Telephone numbers of the Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has been cloned and the criminals who did the cloning are using his phone numbers to send out fake text messages to people not to come out and vote. Pls that text message is not from Gov Amaechi. The Governor’s position remains that Rivers voters should come out to vote today. People should disregard that fake text message.

    2. You people are so dumb and so stupid!!!!!! You can't reason for yourself and ask intelligent questions! Why would a controversial governor that has idiots like you against him use his real phone number to send out such a text? As a governor doing such a thing I'm pretty certain it's a crime and INEC can take up a case with him. I don't know why Nigerians reason from their anus. Number cloning didn't start today okay!? A friend of mine called me one day and I was looking at the phone I was seeing my name and number!!!!

  18. I just got news from my cousins in Buguma,Asari local government area in rivers state, that Gov.Amaechi'stooge Ojukaye, have disrupted the elections in Buguma.they started the attacks yesterday when the INEC officials arrived, which a cousin of mine was among the officials, they intercepted them and took them to the INEC office in Buguma where they locked them up and were about to set them ablaze, but after crying and pleading with them ,they were released, but all of their personal belongings were stolen and the place was set ablaze. There is huge military presence now in Buguma, and nobody can come out.the elections are not holding.that is the intention of Gov.Amaechi.people need to know the truth.will be bringing up updates.
