Four Nigerians set to be executed in Indonesia tomorrow

Baring any last minute changes, four Nigerians along with 6 other nationals will be executed for drug related offenses in Indonesia tomorrow April 25th.

According to an Indonesian foreign Affairs official, the convicted foreigners will be taken to Nusakambangan, the prison island off Java where they are to be executed. Those to be executed also include 2 Australians, one Philippine, one Brazilian and one Indonesian. Australian and Nigerian government have been clamoring for clemency for the drug offenders but their plea appears to have fallen on deaf ears as the Indonesian government has finalized plans to execute the drug traffickers.

It is a law in Indonesia that anyone caught with banned drugs will be executed, foreigners& nationals.

  40. A bit unfortunate but if you break the law in other countries, you should expect to pay the penalty and there is nothing anybody, not even the Nigerian government can do- remember, my fellow naijas, Indonesia is not like Nigeria where you can bribe officials and get away with crime. President Jocko Widodo has made it clear that he will carry out his pre-election promises to apply the death penalty.

  43. I smile, that is a country that has a discipline, when I mean discipline a country that has principle they stick to their laws. Not like Nigeria here when aspirant who was contesting for house of reps caught in Enugu state. Red handed with PVC, they allowed him to contest even issuing him certificate of winning the election. Mtcheew!!!!

  47. They shud be kiiled like chicken they thought they ar in a lawless country lik 9ja where the rich ar above law, I support the killing Linda bcox diz pple called drug dealers ar killing more pple then the authorities it self,
This thing is strat 4ward thing the govt in tht country have told the world pls don't do drugs in my country or X u will be killed but sm goat of a been refuse 2 listen they wnt 2 make fast money, I which the presido elect in 9ja will do the same by sending any drug dealer too 250years in jail or death sentence after 2days of arrest it wil be better @list if fighting corruption in 9ja will start frm there. Even if I am not a fan of buhari but he's track record shows tht he heat drug dealers for tht alone #sai buhari
