2015 Gov election: I'll lead massive campaign against APC in Lagos - Bode George

PDP leader in Lagos state, Chief Bode George says he will be leading a massive campaign against the APC in Lagos so that his party's flagbearer, Jimi Agbaje can win the April 11th Governorship election. Speaking with Punch yesterday April 2nd , Bode George said
"I am here and I will be at the center of operation. The people of Lagos also want a change and we are going to be here to lead the battle. The battle is on and the people of Lagos want a change and we will ensure that we get it right. Lagos people know that this administration has mismanaged their resources. We are not leaving anything undone. We will reach out to the people during the campaigns.”
In the interview, Bode George denied saying that he would be going on exile because Buhari won presidential election. According to him, he would only be taking a long holiday to finish writing his autobiography.
"I have been travelling long before now and now I need a long rest. I am 70 and I need to tidy up my memoirs and if you want to do that, you need a lot of time away from all of the hassles. But it does not mean I will no longer be a Nigerian. I have no personal grudge against Buhari or all the other people. We are in two different parties with different ideologies and if he is the President, I have no objection and I wish him the best of luck. The break will give me time. Rather than running up and down to Abuja, I will be there (abroad) writing my memoirs and doing other things for myself. Of course I will come back, my mother is still alive. I am not scampering out of Nigeria.”

    3. After everything that's happened, I've come to a conclusion that its not about d party but about d individual. When Tinubu was d Gov of Lagos state he did little to nothing compared to what Fashola did. So bode shouldn't be angered that APC won d presidential seat but he should let the good/better man win.

Tinubu has never failed us with his selections, Fashola didn't disappoint our expectations, Aregbesola, Ajimobi, Amosu, Oshiomole are all doing fine, Fayemi also did well before he was rigged out by Fightyose. We have confidence in Ambode would perform better in Lagos state with Buhari at the center. We know nothing about Jk and we can't trust him with our dear Lagos. Bode George should just go and rest or we won't mind sending him back to jail.

  12. Someone asked "Who is the godfather in Lagos State PDP?
Remember Bode George the ex convict, former Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority who was sentenced in October 2009 to 30 months in Kirikiri maximum prison for stealing billions of naira? He is the godfather of Lagos PDP. Bode George took lawlessness to prison when he refused to wear prison uniform. While in prison, he was celebrating and glamorizing corruption with his odouriferous booty that should have been frozen by the government. He was feasting everyday while other prisoners with picayune crime of petty thefts were fasting. His relevance in politics after prison ought to have been consigned to the garbage heap of history but not in Nigeria. And today Bode George is the godfather of Jimi Agbaje the new bride of the gullible voters who can not look beyond Jimi.
I wish Jimi Agbaje well if he can assert himself and think of good name and family value that he preaches.

    6. Kola and Anonymous 12:05 are 2 idiots.

Bode George was wrongfully sentenced, and that could only have happened in Nigeria, under the high handed evil orchestration of that Obasanjo fellow.

Bode Georges case was overturned on the grounds that what he was accused of was not a crime under Nigerian Laws.

This brings to question how he got to prison in the first place.

You Nigerians suffer for dearth of knowledge and no desire to inquire.

      Get your facts right.

    7. And speaking of change in Lagos, what else does Lagos need change from apart from improvement as one of the best states in Nigeria. Bode George and the likes of him are pessimists who want to drag the state back in time to own era. He should go finish his memoirs please and let people who want the good of their people to stay and develope their country. A good elder statesman would render support irrespective of party difference.

It was reported that bode George was recorded on tape saying " that man wants to land back in prison" Na so Obj talk say,Bode must go to jail.

    12. It's not about any politics. Bode George is a criminal and PDP is a criminal party. That's why you are still poor and have poor people all around you, cos they've mismanaged our resources.

  17. Lagosians no what is good. We all know we have to do APC so we can have someone draw from the Federal all that they refused to do for Lagos State. Lagos is for everyone. I advise the business men to look well and not think about hatred or religion or tribalism in voting. Lagos is already looking good lets continue to make it better. Vote wisely! APC all the way. Am sure you know am not a politician but I know that APC is the answer we need in Lagos State. We need to improve on what has already been done. We do not need a party that will want to undo or replan Lagos. Eko Oni Baje!

Lagos will be like Abuja and Uyo which were done by PDP.
The new Lagos-Ibadan construction can never be compared to the rubbish Lekki-Epe road that Tinubus proxy company is collecting Toll on.

The thing is that APC think we are all stupid in Lagos.

Jimi doesnt need to campaign further. I will list the people that will vote for Jimi excluding PDP faithful:

      1. okada owners, okada riders, okada commuters present and past, and their immediate and extended families.

      2. Tax payers in Lagos who are all aware of the selective tax policy of APC

      3. All non indigenes that have been treated as inferior and marginalised in Lagos by their xenophobic tribalism forgeting that tinubu and fashola are not lagosians

      4. all those that are not direct beneficiaries of the APC cabalistic fraternal cult-like followership

      5. All those who drive in traffic everyday and watch LASTMA getting fat on taxpayers bill and have not been able to solve basic problems of traffic as follows: berger bridge - there is no bus stop there buses should drive down; oworonshoki - staff buses shouldnt stop on the road morning and evening. Thats all.

They want to taint our Lagos with endless scandals instead of focusing on bullet points on how to take Lagos State to greater places.
