Passengers going to Dubai removed because they were below 40

According to the founder of a hotel booking website Mark Essien, he saw officials remove four passengers on their way to Dubai because they were below 40. My sister Laura wanted to go to Dubai for her birthday last week, but they told her not to bother. Looks like this Dubai restriction thing is for real. Anyone with similar experiences?

Before they took this decision, didnt you notice how our young women frequent Dubai in drones in the guise of business. when in reality the business doesnt stop at the goods they bring home, but also runs with Arab men over there. Our men even Carry gals over there to make money off them.

Ordinary Arabians that will be scrutinize before getting US and Europe visa now introduced age classification to visit Dubai even when 80% won't stay and still spend lot of money on shopping

  50. Not true!! dubai immigration wouldn't have given the person visa at first place if they check the front page passport and the person is below 40. So I dont know what this people is saying. and one of my family friend is here in Dubai right now, he's 27 and he has spent 1 month now. The only rule I know about is that there is no extension again(if your visa is 2 weeks, and you're trying to extend your stay, it's not possible)

    By Richard Grenell - - Thursday, March 19, 2015
With the polls closed in Israel, international election observers now turn their attention to the Nigerian elections on March 28. The choice for the leader of Africa’s most populous country pits Goodluck Jonathan from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) against Mohammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The decision by the roughly 73 million registered Nigerian voters could have a profound impact on the future of Africa.

But Western foreign policy observers pre-occupied with the rise of ISIS in the Middle East should wake up to the reality unfolding in Nigeria. Opposition candidate General Buhari wants Sharia law throughout Nigeria. In fact, he wants it everywhere.

“I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria,” Mr. Buhari said. “God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country.”

Agitation? Is this an indication that Mr. Buhari supports violence because the end goal of the terrorist attacks throughout Nigeria and Africa is an Islamic state? It is a legitimate question that should be asked by leaders of the Obama administration.

Boko Haram has pledged its allegiance and support to ISIS. The Northern Nigerian based Islamic terrorist group wants Sharia law throughout Nigeria and beyond. They are also actively terrorizing Chad, Niger and Cameroon with their goal of an Islamic state.

Mr. Buhari has also spoken sympathetically about members of the terrorist group Boko Haram, has cautioned against a rush to judgement on its members and has personally been selected by the terrorist group to lead its negotiations with the Government of Nigeria.  Mr. Buhari’s election as Nigeria’s head of state would be a disaster for Africa. It would also signal trouble for the West’s fight against ISIS and terrorism throughout the Middle East.

This time around, i was supposed to transit for 23 hours and upon arrival, i went to process my visa but a very arrogant arab guy after seeing my passport and boarding pass, arrogantly asked me to leave the place. That was how i spent those boring hours at the airport. Thank God i had access to lounge.

  63. Linda, Its so unfortunate how you pass information, @least 1 out of your subscribers would probably reside in Dubai or work around Dubai Immigration system where you can verify info.

I have worked with the U.A.E immigration system for almost 3 years, So before you criticize, Be aware i am sure of what am saying.

This "Under-aged" law has been in existence before you mentioned it initially.

There are classes of Visa which are issued based on different requirement. If you don't meet a particular class of Visa and that is what you need [i.e} A tourist Visa... U are termed an under-age, Such visas are issued if documents are properly handled by the travel agent/Sponsor

    Visa Rejection/Denial
Please note U.A.E activates this law whenever there are issues from a particular citizen of a country or when they tend to foresee overpopulation of citizens of a country(Which is what happened btw Jan - Feb due to influx of Nigerians for Dubai Shopping Festival coupled with those wanting to avoid election crisis).

Note that visas are still approved at such instance but takes longer.

As regards the issue on flight, We cant verify if such happened due to AGE as such visas wont have been approved initially.

I hope that have been able to explain better.

    Kamal.
