"The corp members were given security tips on how to prevent and handle mishaps in the course of the elections. They will not be given guns and ammunitions but in case the Boko boys decide to show their faces, Corpers will be able to help the security agents. After all, we are all serving our father's land." Hmm. All na lesson
ReplyDeleteOKORO UPGRADED**
Thumbs up to them and more power's to their elbows.
DeleteLong live LIB.
Why are they teaching civilian how to use a gun.
DeleteVote no fight
doesn't make sense..so if boko boys attacks, how are the corpers going to get a gun
DeleteHmmm. Well safety first.
DeleteDaily fashion tips@ Lindahrisfashion.blogspot.com
This is totally unacceptable. WTH?
Delete#TeamBlessed#
Good move and I support this.
DeleteOghene bikoooooo Nigerians are full of surprises ooooo
ReplyDeleteNo bi small tin o
DeleteHmm..
ReplyDeleteLater they don't confiscate the gone away and enter streets.

Dammmn! Naija i hail. Lindaobserve
ReplyDeleteHmmmm
ReplyDeleteThis is d best ever ..kudos to them
ReplyDeleteDid i hear you correctly or you being sarcastic?
DeleteTraining of corpers to use not dane gun but machine gun. I bet you support PDP and must be dumb like Jona.
The corper amongst them who gets frustrated in a couple of months/years time due to lack of job will easily venture into crime and unleash havoc on us all.
Linda i think you seriously need to start including common sense in your lib monday giveaway as you currently attract alot of brain dead individuals to your blog.
@talk2frankky....your fool for calling someone brain dead,I just pity your miserable life
Delete@talk2frankky! I won't cuss you out but in other countries with para military service like NYSC, everyone is taught how to shoot. It's in the interest of national security. If a graduate decides to go into crime bcos he learnt how to shoot then it's stupid but what needs to be done, needs to be done! Every grown ass man in nigeria should know how to shoot.
Deletelol. odikwa risky. thank God it wasnt wen i served
ReplyDeleteHmmmm nawaaooh! Odikwa risky oh! Which kain serve our father land.
ReplyDeleteSecurity first... very important.

Hian! Why do they even post corpers to these states that r acessed by boko haram? I hope they will all be safe o.
ReplyDeleteThey are not serious, serving our father land indeed. If the Corpers had wanted to become soldiers, they wouldn't have wasted their time going to higher institutions. I just hope this action won't have an adverse effects on the society at large. Linda take note!
ReplyDeleteU're very dumb, I put a stamp to Ur dumbness, ***Boom*** so it can't be forged...thank me
DeleteU are mad.Are u sayin dat a graduate cannot becum a soldier.
DeleteMust you comment?
DeleteU are a very big fool for this comment , now I am convinced u r really retarderd. There are m.sc and PHD holders in the military u retard. 100k gieveaway dey block ur head
DeleteLol.. it's better they run for lives ooooo
ReplyDeleteIt is commendable.
ReplyDeleteThis is so wrong. From the pictures, corps members are apparently being taught weapon handling without protective gear: no ear muffs, no gloves. The recoil from a sub-machine gun such as the one in the picture can knock out one's teeth...
ReplyDeleteThumbs up! I ask that the same be taught to corpers in Bauchi, Kano and other BH attack prone states.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, I hope the corpers agreed to learn voluntarily and not under duress?
There's nothing risky....nysc is supposed to be paramilitary...
ReplyDeleteHow did we get here?! Smh.
ReplyDeleteJesus is Lord.
They never graduate, now the FG wants to kill them... arant nonsence
ReplyDeleteIt's well.
ReplyDeleteSome Corpers don't need that training as they have done target training in their various institutions.
ReplyDeleteInfact 80% of them are gun trained. They should be taught how to use a turret gun and armoured tanks
They're putting corps members lives in danger
ReplyDeleteWhen we did our security training
They told us to throw the ballot boxes to the mobs who wil try to be violent and run
We should not protect anything expect ourselves and run
I don't why they're saying something else in kebbi
Gdday Assumpta,, longest time. I'm currently serving in Kebbi state. This info going viral is a big lie misinterpreting another event. The Corp member that shared this with LIB Is a confusionist.

DeleteMheeen!!!! That's rough play.
ReplyDeleteNa wa o, this one na national defence with serving our fathers land. Gbam
ReplyDeleteYes oh. More Guns Less Crime. This is a welcome development. Abeg I need the training too o.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Can this happen in USA? What are our security agencies up to these days? Under what derivatives of NYSC were these instructions given or mandated? God help Nigeria!!!
ReplyDeleteComplete and utter BS
ReplyDeleteComplete and utter BS
ReplyDeleteNot bad to learn but as for facing Boko Haram, datz a no for me. Like the initiative.
ReplyDeleteIt's a welcome development, I live in a country where every men at young age btw 18-30 are force to be in the army for 6months just like our own NYSC but for all not just graduate and this country don't have any threat but just for the unseen future, imagine if the men at those little villages Boko haram started their brutal act from knows the military know how definitely the shit won't be up to this.
ReplyDeleteSay wat? #idontbelieveit!

Yea, its all I eva wanted. Handling a rifle is so f**kin interesting. Ain't gat time 4 bullshitz. Doz modafu**kers have terrorized n messed up my community since childhood. I cnt wait to face dem personally.
ReplyDeletelearning how to shoot a gun is not part of da clarions call

ReplyDeletePs coppers trade wit caution oh , may God protect us Amen.
ReplyDeleteNigeria is in a state of collapse, God help us
ReplyDelete...My name is simple Call Me KYKE...
Nah wah of, this is serious matter but is it appropriate?
ReplyDeleteThis wan done pass serving their country...........
ReplyDeleteMoye says so via BB Passport...Courtesy LIB....
i think these coppers are serving in the military barracks cos i served in an airforce base ph nd we were tot how to use guns and basic protection techniques. it was really an awexome experience i felt like james bond that period lol.
ReplyDelete@ Juliet are u dis daft.... Try to understand sometimes ok.... To d corpers, dats a gud one....
ReplyDeleteNawa ooohhh,,,,,,Nigeria is ours Nigeria we serve
ReplyDeleteLinda just confirmed this news as not true by NYSC official Kebbi State and Emir of Gwandu not in the country sef
ReplyDelete#smh - JAMB has just been taken and candidates are checking their results however it is sad that some may end up attending schools abroad like University of Perpetual Help System Data, Philippines.
ReplyDelete#smh - can a poor person give his or her savings to Goodluck? What has he done to reduce poverty?? Isn't it preposterous that they sing our economy is improving yet still the poverty rate is increasing that means economy is only improving for the very rich ones?
This should be the purpose of service in the first thing. Like it and wish they had taught us this back then in the days. Lucky Igbenidion would have been my first aim
ReplyDeletePlease stop this lies. nothing of such is happening in kebbi state.
ReplyDeleteis all lies. nothing of such is happening in kebbi state.
ReplyDeleteAdvantage and disadvantage which is higher..
ReplyDeleteAdvantage and disadvantage which is higher..
ReplyDeleteGod be with us all....
ReplyDeleteYes, copers are supposed to be trained in gun use. This is coming rather late.
ReplyDeleteWhy train corpers on arms when at the end of the day so many of them will be unemployed.i hope this will not bounce back on the society?.
ReplyDelete@ JULIET,Soldiers to be go to high institutions too n from there proceed for short service. Dont generalize when u said, they, Corpers would t have gone to Higher Institutions.

ReplyDeleteThis is a welcomed idea, besides I thought this was part of what the 3 weeks in camp should consist of...instead they make you climb stupid ropes and planks. I hope they extend this gun training stuff to all camps and not just the north...#NOMORE#UPNIGERIAARMY#KILLALLB.HMEMBERS
ReplyDeleteIts part of serving ur country
ReplyDeleteGUY IF U SERVE FINISH ND DERE IS NO WORK... ENTA HIGH WAY EMPLOY UR SELF ND MAKE SOM GANGS... COOL MONEY ALL D WAY. Dats wat dey mean in disguise.
ReplyDeleteLearn how to shoot wetin! Hmm am sure the sharp ones will be in their fathers house, after elections they will come back to serve their fathers land again lol!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is a lie I serve in Kebbi currently that guy just seeking attention.
ReplyDeleteits good. after all that's what they do in Israel.

ReplyDeleteLol
ReplyDeleteVery good one.....
ReplyDeleteas far as it is for self defense and possible assistance to the troops if necessary, then it is okay.
ReplyDeleteLolllll
ReplyDeletethat is a good move at least they can protect themselves and others just in case of emergency
ReplyDeleteJuliet Iwuno don't be ignorant, soldiers go to school. Wars of these days are won by intelligence. Don't underrate the military. Graduates do join the army in Nigeria and elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteIn Isreal it is mandatory . check their Defense Service Law
Human Being No Be God
GOD go punish nysc if dem carry me go north.i wan become soldier,na him i no go nda?mtcheeeew
ReplyDeletehmmm, make sure u will give them job after service if not, they will practice what they are being taught . THANKS

ReplyDeleteHa....if I were serving in DAT state...I will run for my life....But Anambra is so peaceful, so we corpers are safe
ReplyDeletenow this is what NYSC should be. 1 year of military defense training and self sustainability in a harsh or dangerous environment.
ReplyDeleteMISREPRESENTATION,ABSOLUTELY MISGUIDED,MISINFORMATION OF THE HIGHEST OTHER.I BRING IT TO YOUR NOTICE THAT WHAT LINDA AND HER CO HORT ARE SAYING REGARDING WHAT SHE POSTED ON HER BLOG IS NOTING BUT MISCHIEF OF GREAT MAGNITUDE.THE COPPER THAT SOLD OUT THIS INFORMATION IS NOTING BUT A BASTARD SON OF A HOOLIGAN WHO WANTS TO THROW OUR POLITY INTO DIRTY DIRECTION.PLEASE,SAVE OUR FACE FROM FROM THIS DASTARD ACT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

ReplyDeleteAwesome training................the M240B is a beast! One of the best weapon I have fired, it can fire 750–950 rounds/min! Heading to the range this weekend abeg!
ReplyDeleteLinda you made a mistake with the heading simply put it, Corps embarking on a suicide mission.
ReplyDeleteHONESTLY THIS SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED A LONG TIME AGO. IN OTHER ADVANCED CLIMES, COPPERS LIKE THESE, SERVE AS THE COUNTRYS STRATEGIC RESERVE
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmm...
ReplyDeletemy name is tony and am a corp member serving in kebbi state,the.barracks.to be precise.its was.shocking when this piks went viral with wrong info.i am previledged and opportuned to be among the.corp member invited for the event.(the novelty range ceremony).even civilians are invited for the ceremomy as u can see on the piks..my.advice is 1.bloggers should confirm.stories before uploading online.2.my.fellow nigerians we should learn.to.think twice before believing any story we hear not to talk of the one we see online..a wise man told me yesterday that countries habe been brought down as a result of wrong info online so we should mind what we believe this days, thank you..
