Corps members in Kebbi state being taught to use guns? (photos)

According to a LIB reader who is a Corper in Kebbi state, he said Corps members are being taught how to use the m60 guns for protection because of the insecurity related to the forthcoming election.
"The corp members were given security tips on how to prevent and handle mishaps in the course of the elections. They will not be given guns and ammunitions but in case the Boko boys decide to show their faces, Corpers will be able to help the security agents. After all, we are all serving our father's land." He said
Dignitaries at the event today where Corpers were shown how to shoot by soldiers include the Emir of Gwandu, Commanding officer of the 1Battalion Dukku Barracks Lieutenant colonel M.M Abu,  the Commissioner of police, Director of Ndlea, military and paramilitary personnel and some corp members.

Training of corpers to use not dane gun but machine gun. I bet you support PDP and must be dumb like Jona.
The corper amongst them who gets frustrated in a couple of months/years time due to lack of job will easily venture into crime and unleash havoc on us all.
Linda i think you seriously need to start including common sense in your lib monday giveaway as you currently attract alot of brain dead individuals to your blog.

    3. @talk2frankky! I won't cuss you out but in other countries with para military service like NYSC, everyone is taught how to shoot. It's in the interest of national security. If a graduate decides to go into crime bcos he learnt how to shoot then it's stupid but what needs to be done, needs to be done! Every grown ass man in nigeria should know how to shoot.

  10. They are not serious, serving our father land indeed. If the Corpers had wanted to become soldiers, they wouldn't have wasted their time going to higher institutions. I just hope this action won't have an adverse effects on the society at large. Linda take note!

  12. This is so wrong. From the pictures, corps members are apparently being taught weapon handling without protective gear: no ear muffs, no gloves. The recoil from a sub-machine gun such as the one in the picture can knock out one's teeth...

    ReplyDelete
  13. Thumbs up! I ask that the same be taught to corpers in Bauchi, Kano and other BH attack prone states.
Meanwhile, I hope the corpers agreed to learn voluntarily and not under duress?

  17. Some Corpers don't need that training as they have done target training in their various institutions.
Infact 80% of them are gun trained. They should be taught how to use a turret gun and armoured tanks

    ReplyDelete
  18. They're putting corps members lives in danger
When we did our security training
They told us to throw the ballot boxes to the mobs who wil try to be violent and run
We should not protect anything expect ourselves and run
I don't why they're saying something else in kebbi

  24. It's a welcome development, I live in a country where every men at young age btw 18-30 are force to be in the army for 6months just like our own NYSC but for all not just graduate and this country don't have any threat but just for the unseen future, imagine if the men at those little villages Boko haram started their brutal act from knows the military know how definitely the shit won't be up to this.

#smh - can a poor person give his or her savings to Goodluck? What has he done to reduce poverty?? Isn't it preposterous that they sing our economy is improving yet still the poverty rate is increasing that means economy is only improving for the very rich ones?
