For those who want to kill themselves over politicians in Nigeria...lol. The president and APC presidential candidate pictured hugging at the 2015 election sensitization workshop on non-violence in Abuja this morning. See a pic of Jonathan, Buhari, Oyegun and Mu'Azu holding hands after the cut

  98. There's nothing as entertaining as watching electioneering campaigns in Nigeria. In this part of the world, ideologies and strategies are not presented to the general populace. Our aspirants/politicians would rather leave the focal purpose for which we electorates are to hold in order to elect wisely, for self exoneration and conviction or accusation of the other party. The contemporary definition of a manifesto is a list of the failure and irregularities (which are obvious) of the incumbent or aspiring candidate of a political office, contrary to what I believe it to mean a public declaration of intentions, opinions, objectives and/ motives that are desired to be achieved measurably as issued by a candidate for which are logical reasons of plea why he should be voted into office as a leader.
I'm hoping to see a debate organised for those vying for political positions at all level. This of course will engineer our knowledge as regards how a man will run an administration if entrusted in his hand. It is not a matter of who is experienced or not, it is a matter of how you intend to achieve desired change/rebuilding/revolution.

We have to start looking at politics from a mere point of vocation, we need to look into its scientific, disciplinary and other relevant nature of its discourse.

  107. FELLOW COMPATRIOTS!!! (my view)
Inspite insecurity due to insurgents & corruption due to selfish individuals at various levels in the GEJ administration... Don't be fooled with Empty promises and their selfish quest for Vengeance.
They preach about CHANGE... come to think of it; who doesn't want change? who can't promise or preach change? It's not about preaching CHANGE,but actualizing the change we all desire when you gain power into office. For change to take place or become functional,it takes time & processes. I tell you one thing fellow compatriots;CHANGE is never easy!
There is however no doubt that the transformation agenda of the GEJ administration has slowly but SURELY made commendable efforts in strengthening the power sector, Education, Industrial,Agricultural, entertainment industry and the likes in spite of the Barbaric ideology of a few Nigerians who wouldn't stop at nothing but see to the failure of the effort of the GEJ administration.
Wake up fellow Compatriots, there can't be a better offer than what GEJ already has in Stock! Leadership is a responsibility that only those ordained by God can manage.
Mind you fellow compatriots, the affairs of a country as diverse as Nigeria isn't something someone or anyone can come into power & curb the problem of insecurity, corruption, unemployment and the likes within 4 years or 8 years. A change in government now will only lead to intense corruption, abandonment of ongoing project and an air of unpredictability for the future.

VOTE WISELY... the OPPOSITION has nothing to offer!

  113. Presently nobody campaigning would come out to tell Nigerians that he would give them good roads! This is because the roads can't not be said to be bad like they were before! Buhari would not climb a campaign podium in this 2015 and tell Nigerians that he would provide them with good roads! But in 2011 he said that in his campaign speech! That goes a long way to tell you that lot has changed for good! GEJ has done well only someone who does not know the truth or knows the truth but chooses to lie.

  120. The U.S. State Department on Wednesday said Nigeria’s election in February could be a factor behind the sharp increase in attacks by Boko Haram Islamist militants in the north of the country.

Spokeswoman Marie Harf said, however, that the February 14 presidential election should go ahead in spite of the violence which has forced about 20,000 Nigerians to flee to neighbouring countries in recent weeks.

“There has been a sharp escalation in the number of reported casualties. We do believe the election is a factor,’’ Harf told a daily briefing.

Harf said Boko Haram previously used events such as elections to stir up tensions.

However, the election is expected to be a close contest between President Goodluck Jonathan and his leading challenger, Muhammadu Buhari.

“Boko Haram has tended to, particularly around something like an election, use political issues or sensitivities to try to enflame tensions.

“We have seen that as one of their tactics and that is why it is so important to move forward with the election, because we believe it is important,’’ she noted.

Boko Haram’s insurgency began in 2009, but the number and scale of the attacks has risen sharply since 2015 after the government imposed emergency rule in three worst-hit states in northern Nigeria.

Amnesty International has said Boko Haram may have killed some 2,000 people around Jan. 3 in Baga in northern Nigeria.

However, Harf said it was hard to independently verify that figure.

What an unprofessional station!!!!! Its a pity.

Almost all the Yoruba presenters on Nigeria info 99.3 glaringly support APC. I am much more disappointed in them. Adenike go as far as cutting short GEJ supporters and making an verbal disapproval like snorting.

I am angry and these are my honest observation.

You will also notice they have never, ever ever criticized Fashola. Adenike stop it. I do not hate you but please keep your APC to your self. Haven't heard you for sometime as i tuned off. 131. Dont be decieved these politicians are the same....The APC, has been consistent in saying that the PDP has ruled Nigeria for 16 disastrous years in which corruption, impunity, insurgency, armed robbery and several ills of society held sway. But at a very close look at the APC, I am seeing:
    1. Rotimi Amaechi - 8 years speaker; 7 year, Governor under PDP.
    2. Atiku Abubakar - 8 years Vice president under PDP.
    3. George Akume - 8 years Governor under PDP.
    4. Bukola Saraki - 8 years Governor; 2 years, Senator under PDP.
    5. Timipre Sylver - 4 years Governor under PDP.
    6. Audu Ogbe - 2 years Chairmanship of the PDP.
