LIB reader who died in hotel during Calabar Festival to be laid to rest

The remains of Lawman Eberechi Kalu, an ardent LIB reader (according to his friends) 27, who lost his life during the 2014 Calabar Festival will be laid to rest on January 30, 2015.

Mr. Kalu who met his tragic death when fire broke out in the hotel he was staying, tried to jump out from the hotel window but met his death instead of a safe landing. A release by the family has it that the remains Eberechi Kalu who hailed from Ututu Arochukwu in Abia State will depart Allied Mortuary for his home town where he would be laid to rest by 10 am.

Lawman’s sad death which happened on Dec. 28, 2014 has sent his family and friends into mourning. May his soul rest in peace. Amen!

Most of the time, jumping of of window or car results in an accident.

I lost a friend sometime ago bcos he jumped out of a bus wen the break failed.

    11. Linda, take out a day in aweek or even a month to post a pic of your 'ardent readers' and celebrate them. It doesn't make sense to show them to us only when it's sad news. #CelebrateLife

  4. Dear hafsat. I completely agree that GEJ has failed woefully as president but what is more disturbing than his failed govt is the silence of you so called peaceful muslims on the wickedness of your brothers who practice that religion. It is easy to point fingers but what is wrong with islam and why are the extremists among you so blood thirsty. Where is the outrage at muslims all over the world constantly bombing, slaughtering and beheading in the thousands?
