I Consulted Pastor Adeboye Before Accepting To Be Buhari’s Running Mate - Osinbajo

APC’s Muhammadu Buhari's running mate, Yemi Osinbajo who also doubles as a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, said he consulted the General Overseer of the church, Pastor E.A Adeboye, before embarking on this journey, Mr Osinbajo spoke to Kayode Falade...
The Redeemed Christian Church of God, where you are a pastor, has come out to say it never endorsed you…
I don’t think the church has ever said any such thing. Also, the church does not endorse candidates. The General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has not said any such thing. He has not issued any statement. In any event, the RCCG as a church cannot endorse a candidate. How can a church endorse a candidate?
But did you seek Pastor Adeboye’s consent before accepting the nomination?

I serve under the GO of the RCCG as a pastor. If I am going to take any kind of action, especially an action that involves public service, it is my duty to consult with him. It would be absolutely irresponsible of me not to consult with him. And I have consulted with him.

Did he give you his consent?

I have consulted with Adeboye fully. I am not prepared to share with you the details of our discussion. But be absolutely certain that I would not take these steps without properly consulting with him and that I did what was needful.

I dnt go to redeem but ur d one dt needs to shut ur mouth nd knw dt u ain't d one dt called him but God. So allow God b d judge here.

    5. You sound clueless and probably senseless. He has a duty to report to his superior before accepting the proposal. He has every right to say yes or no but because he is a pastor under that organization. He took the right step. He is also not using Pst Adeboye to canvas. He did not being up the question your journalist did and he gave an excellent answer.

Pls Lili confirm dat story of dat Rev. Father bcos am seriously doubting it. Dat man has grt interity as long as his faith is concern. He wouldn't do anytin of such ill character.

  66. It is time Christians gets involved in leading countries. Jeremiah 29 encourages living in cities and serving the city and promoting the welfare of the city while keeping your spiritual identity. Why must we live in a bubble when the wicked take over our country.

  67. I like and respect Osibanjo especially because of his humility. We are in the same professor and church, RCCG. I read from some quarters what he said about GEJ and I know that Daddy GO always admonish us to prayer for our leaders. I therefore find it difficult to reconcile Osinbanjo's present attack on the President with what the Bible tells us in the book of Chronicles about our leaders. It will definitively make some people to backslide and scare others away from recieving salvation
