Fire guts popular Balogun market, four houses, five plazas razed

The popular Balogun market on Lagos Island was gutted by fire this morning January 12th. Four houses, five plazas and a Diamond Bank building on the street were razed by fire. The cause of the fire is unknown but men of the fire service are currently there working to put off the fire. Thankfully no life was lost. More pics after the cut...

  9. Painful 2015 to traders, landlords and tenants in those buildings. God will console all. Not easy to start January with bad news. Now that things are costly, how are they going to manage. This one that nobody is ready to lend to anybody. I hope it is not the usual burning of market to replace with expensive ones. I am just asking ooo. The hold up was much today because of this. God please help all children and mark everyone of us with your blood and protection.
