Linda, its actually complicated. Let's analyse it like this; The economy is not good, so a lot of young men find it difficult to make ends meet and to have the kind of life they desire, hence if that opportunity shows up by marrying a rich girl, they just take the deep plunge!

And to worsen the matters, speaking from experience, the rich girls aren't helping matters. This is a trend I have watched with keen interest for the past 7 years and the hypocrisy of men in this regard cannot be over-emphasized. 2 well-known guys in my office have refused to marry even when they have been in love or fond of particular ladies who are just lacking in one regard; 'having the right parents'. The connected ones. Its sad though but who am I to judge anyone's choice.

The economy is not good, so a lot of young men find it difficult to make ends meet and to have the kind of life they desire, hence if that opportunity shows up by marrying a rich girl, they just take the deep plunge!
And its easier for a guy to leave his babe of many years than for a girl to do the same, this being because women love more deeply than men.
And to worsen the matters, speaking from experience, the rich girls aren't helping matters. They are fast becoming the fulfilment of the prophecy in Isiaha 4 vs 1 where the holy book said that many women would be running after one man.
Yes! Most of these babes no even send your other girls.
But for the guys, before you indulge in this, just get ready to be a servant in your own house because you can't even be the bread winner, you won't even win chin-chin sef! You'll be just a ceremonial husband and the ultimate infidel the good book talked about in 1Timothy 5vs8
