As I write this mail, my heart is so troubled. I am a young lady
of 27yrs and I'm in a serious relationship too. I was with my fiance
throughout the ovulation of my last period and we made love all through
but I met with another man (side boyfriend) a day after my ovulation
without condom ( he didn't release in me).
Fast forward to
the next month, I discovered that I am pregnant. My fiancée insisted I
keep the pregnancy cos we were already planning to get married. Continue...
However,
I can't go a day without thinking about the paternity of my baby and I
am due in the next one month. I'm not really sure who the father is.

You just have to wait till the child s born. I was in same position with you, only difference was that my husband is white and I had sex with a black man. The chances of gwtting pregnant a day aftrr ovulating are way slimmer but still possible depending on how virile the man's sperm is.Since you are due in a month then its best to wait till you have put to bed. Having the test while pregnant will involve taking some amniotic fluid from your uterus I think. That's a painful and risky process from what I've heard.

I think you have to wait. Because the test would have to be carried out with the DNA of your child and you can't get anything from the child until he is out. This is a general know knowledge but you can meet a doctor to help enlighten you more just in case there are more recent methods of doing this that would help you. Just take it easy though, be careful and try not to make this sort of mistake again. You can write to me for further help on how to tackle things with your man. (next time stay faithful ok?) Any IVF clinic like bridge clinic, Ives, ART St Nicholas, Eko hospital Havannah,and Lagoon can do that. Just make sure you have some dough huh? ReplyDeleteIts possible... but it will be very expensive. There are two methods, chorionic villus sampling (cvs) or amniocentesis. Cvs is done between weeks 11 and 14 of pregnancy. Its main purpose is to screen for genetic or chromosomal abnormalities. Basically, the doctors will go through your abdomen with a needle, to the placenta and aspirate some of the cells there. Then they check it.

I don't know the laws on paternity testing in Nigeria but you should consult your doctor.
Of course u can do a paternity test. But how do u plan on getting swabs from both the men? If u are caught by ur fiance, how do u explain what u trying to do? Seems to me that u've personally laid for yourself a bed of thorns. Cuz if u're hubby to be finds out, u may loose him forever, but if he's d "understanding guy" and says it doesn't matter, and still goes on wiv d wedding. Trust me he will hang it over ur head for the rest of your life... am sorry love, it's ur game and u are holding the cards so however u play this, just hold ur breadth and keep ur fingers crossed..
