According to Thisday, PDP had written to the state government seeking permission to use the stadium for its presidential campaign but in its response, the government said the party could not use it as it was under construction, a position faulted by the PDP.
According to PDP, the APC had used that same stadium twice recently. Speaking on the matter, the state Chairman of PDP, Felix Obuah, said the stadium was built with Tax payers money and so should be available for use to everyone.
"The facilities of Rivers State are owned by all of us; all tax-paying people. The Adokiye Amiesiemaka Stadium belongs to Rivers people; Rivers State money was used to build it. It was not meant for the Buhari campaign manager; it is not his personal property. They used it for their own rally and their own celebrations. We have applied to use the place for our rally, come 28th of this month. But the governor, in his act of impunity, has refused us the use of that place.".The Chairman warned that if the decision of Governor Amaechi is not rescinded, they would use the stadium with or without any approval.

Besides, has anyone bothered to ask why PDP does not want the existence of APC in River State. Twice they have bombed the headquarters of APC in River State. Which more intolerance is more than this. Has the President come out to condemn this dastard act by his party men. If I were Amaechi I will do worse than not just allowing them the use of the stadium. After all, this country is not only for Mr President and his party men.

Amaechi is the greatest fool i'v ever known in my entire life, did i hear "BAR"? He must still be in a deep sleep to think he can do that. The APC won't amusing me, imagine Fashola of Lagos state also instructing LASAA to stop any other party in thee state to make use of the bill boards and claamour for CHANGE *whew* change to gini kwanu??? I do hope he's not killing his political career gradually with this unnecessary arrogance, for a political party that may use and dump him eventually? I also make bold to say that he would never try such with any of the past Presidents of this country, he would have paid dearly for it, but for the fact that PGEJ is too civil, he's been taken for granted by Amaechi and co. PGEJ, i congratulate u in advance for the Valentine's day love Nigerians will show you for your humility.
