Photo: Medical doctor burnt to death on Christmas day in Ondo

A fire outbreak at the Universal Medical Clinic (Specialist Children Clin­ic) in Oke Ibukun Street, off Araromi area in Akure, the Ondo state capital has sadly claimed the life of its owner, Dr David Ade­tayo Oguntuase who was burnt beyond recognition yesterday December 25th.

According to reports, the fire started at about 12midnight and caught the Doctor unawares inside his office. One of the nurses who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the doctor came in yesterday morning and asked them to take the day off so they could spend some time with their family and instructed them to lock all the doors and windows of the hospital before they leave...
Some hours later, the hospital was on fire, and Dr Oguntuase was burnt to death. The police are investigating the cause of the fire. According to a nurse, no patient was in the hospital during the inferno as they had all been discharged  due to the Christmas celebration

    The deceased until his death was a staff of Federal Medical Center Owo, and reportedly ratted out the MD, maybe there's a conspiracy here, God help us all

    Story is weird. He could not raise an alarm, he made no phonecalls, he was all alone. No generator, no light, yet a fire. Hope he was not murdered, then his clinic burnt. Very fishy

    I am a member of the family and NO he didnt commit suicide or have u ever heard of someone that burns himself alive? he was assassinated and then his hospital set ablaze. He told the nurses to lock up because he was planning to also close for the day. Its just a pity that the perpetrators may not be caught but i know that the good lord will avenge is death.Thanks to all those that showed sympathy.

    Av u ever seen wia fire wil remove a joint if the limb was not removed Bfo the fire.take a second look at the pic. The neighbours even heard him scream for help.there are better ways to die esp by an epitome of knowledge like him. Met faced down at the last rm at the back of the building with the burglary removed. God is certainly not sleeping
