Lol. Did Orits Wiliki really say he married his mother's last born?

Award winning reggae star, Orits Wiliki, who has been married to his wife, actress and singer Becky, for 20 years says the secret behind their successful marriage is because she is his mother's last child - doesn't that make her his sister? Yep, it does!
"I married my kid sister – my mother’s last born. We are as close as siblings can be. That is why we have stayed together for this long.” he told Punch
Should we take this serious? After he will say he was misquoted..lol. Orits Wiliki will be celebrating his 30 years on stage in Warri on Sunday, December 28.

  17. I guess what he is trying to say is that she is almost like a sister because of the bond his wife and mother have

  31. I think it's more like an idom. Something like "my brother from another mother"

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think he doesn't mean it that way..; just to tell us they are like siblings as they've stuck it out till now.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think what he was trying to say was that he married someone who is the same age as his mum's last born....I still remember is "welcome Nigeria 99" song. Made a lot of sense then.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Probably he means that they were as close as sisters. English is not our mother tongue, hence some Nigerians find it challenging communicating effectively.

    ReplyDelete
  48. We are as close as siblings means they are not related but he was just saying that they have good chemistry as couple. Linda you won turn to mama peace? I be na only you waka come.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Linda, don't you understand, what he is trying to say is that he sees his wife like their last born, so with that they can't have issue and if they do they will settle it, because you can't forsake your family. Stop making issue out of nothing. I know you will not publish this.

    ReplyDelete
  50. His mother last born could mean, his wife was same age as his mothers last born.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I refer myself to as my mother-law's last born.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Dats not wot he meant linda, its not blood sister he is talking abt, just like sm1 cn can dey married their frnd

    ReplyDelete
  53. It simply means he is very close to his wife and he treats her like a younger sister so that even when she offends him, he acts like a older brother in handling the matter

    ReplyDelete
  54. He's just trying to say, he regards the wife as his mother's last born. Pampers and understands her like his younger sister. English na wah o

  57. Linda, na wa for u oo, so u don't understand d meaning of what he said Abi? It means they are so close dt they are like siblings already.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I should think he placed her in that position. Maybe because of the closeness and understanding between them.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Linda u self. It is very simple and straight statement. She is very very close to her. Whoa I can't believe that Linda cannot translate the statement oooooo.

    ReplyDelete
  60. He is speaking in parables.....UWA DI OMIMI...AMA NDI ANA EZE.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Linda, every straight word does not mean straight meaning. She is not his sister.

    ReplyDelete
  62. What part of what he said did you not understand? His mother's last child so? Daughter inlaw still implies his mother's child.

    ReplyDelete
  63. If my mum and my wife love each other as mother and daughter, then metaphorically speaking, she's her lastborn!

    ReplyDelete
  64. What can we say.... Didn't you her what his name sound like...
