  36. WHY I LIKE THE BLACKBERRY PASSPORT

Where to begin? The name “Passport” maybe - The pass of a port, A document or in this case, a somewhat ticket device enabling one to cross boarders (tech boarders in the smart phone’s ancestry), to go places - to grant access to places never ventured by human kind.

For some, a proof of citizenship to the largest mobile city (pun intended). For others, maybe a sense of belonging to the greatest smart phone family known to mankind. For me, I guess, all the above but more acutely, a pass to the future.

Every aspect of its makeup from the 4.5 inch square touch display to capacitive touch 3-row keyboard to 30hrs battery life and 13mp OIS camera oozes a fragrance of belonging, a home, your comfort zone – A place you can be all you want to be. The Blackberry passport takes you there.

But truth is I thought I fully understood it; that I could grasp it. But I didn't; not really. The smudginess of it gotten from my experience of the Passport predecessors (since I do not possess one YET). I didn’t realize it would sometimes be more than the whole; that the wholeness was a rather luxurious idea - because it’s the halves that have you in awe. The halves of its 24 bit color depth resolution, blackberry 10 os, Qualcomm snapdragon 801, pre-loaded apps and sensors.

The Bb Passport isn’t part of a class; IT is the super ultra-class.

  49. What I like about Blackberry is the pinging and the applications on it, also the smartness, whenever I ping someone and that person read my pinging it'll show me R. And that R mean the person has read my pinging I really love the function of Blackberry bold 5, and the way I used to move from one application like facebook to whatsApp and to other applications, and whenever I take pictures with my Blackberry bold 5. It always clear and finer is my number one among the rest phones pictures, also with Blackberry protect when my former Bold 2 was stolen, it was Blackberry protect that help me to get all my contact back because I used Blackberry protect to back-up all my contact before it was stolen, that is what I really love about blackberry. BlackBerry Passport's screen size will make it ideal for looking at everything from schematics to x-rays, word documents and spreadsheets. Of course it's also going to make the handset ideal for web-browsing

The Passport will run the BB 10.3 operating system. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM, specifications which are comparable to phablets in Samsung's Galaxy Note range.

Internal memory is shaping up to be 32GB with space to expand this with a micro SD card slot (up to 64GB).

    Battery life

The Passport packs a large 3450mAh battery life, and BlackBerry is touting a battery life of around 30 hours for power users that browse the web, take calls and access multimedia content using the device.

Whilst testing out a pre-production device, blackberrypassport handset retained 15 per cent battery life after 16 hours of usage.

    Early impressions

So far the blackberry passport has been the only publication to get extended time with the Passport. Although it looks like it could take users a while to get used to the unique design and keyboard, conclusions have been positive.

“It fits in dress shirt pockets and you can hold it with one hand. You just need two hands to use it. The battery lasts forever and the screen is a breath of fresh air for the 'cramped' Q10 users,” CrackBerry noted.

“The phone (if we can call it that) is meant for executives and serious businessmen who will now do more on their BlackBerry smartphones.”

With BlackBerry managing to retain customers in the enterprise market, the release of a truly big screen device is likely to be welcomed by those who still crave a physical keyboard.

    Apps

Blackberry Passport 10.3 users will have access to software offered by the Amazon App Store, to broaden the range of services at their fingertips.

this means users should have access to "hundreds of thousands" of additional apps, including consumer offerings such as Minecraft, Pinterest and Cut The Rope 2.

Meanwhile, they'll also be given the chance to download one free, and upload article in cloud

  67. wow! why I love bb?? Yes I love touch screens, and I love to be able to touch specific parts of my screen and ZAP! things are done.
But in all honesty, I still so much enjoy my physical keyboards (especially QWERTY style) it makes it easier and much faster for me when texting, pinging and replying text messages. And that’s where Blackberry got me, with their unique combination or should I say ”marriage” of super touch sensitive screen and physical QWERTY keypad just as in my BB Q5.
I also love the way the pages render while browsing, it’s simply beautiful…

  91. I love blackberry because of the uniqueness of it BB messenger, then the blackberry passport because of its
Performance: The Passport runs the BB 10.3 operating system.it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM, specifications which are comparable to phablets in Samsung's Galaxy Note range. Internal memory is shaping up to be 32GB with space to expand this with a micro SD card slot (up to 64GB)

  128. I have been using blackberry for 8yrs i have used blackberry javelin,curve 2,Bold 2,4&5,touch 2 and now i use Q10,so i think i can say a lot about it
1.Easy to fix-when you have issues wit ur bb,the parts are cheap and you wont spend all your savings fixing the problem.
2.Durable and strong-In these yrs Ive droped my phones mistakenly many times and iv never had any cause to fix a screen, even the Q10 has droped several times, and nothing happens to it,its very strong.
3.I like the fact that it blinks wen you hv a msg,you can easily tel u hv a msg cos of the blinking
4.Emails comes through quicker unlike other phones when you get mails 2hrs after.
5.The BB world contain a whole lot of fun stuff that can kip one company
6.Blackberry is easy to operate,Even an illetrate can operate a blackberry, the words are easy to understand and very easy to get through with, unlike many phones with big grammar and take like a week to learn hw to operate.
7.Blackberry Camera is splendid, even when i was using the Curve 2,i stil have all the pix i snaped then on my memory card,it gives good quality pictures.Although that has improved on subsequent ones.
8.I can use my phone when its 1% charged, some phone wil have to be like 10% up before one can make use of it.
9.I like the fact that Blackberry has efficient internet structure, for as low as 500 naira you have unlimited internet data. Its quite affordable for students.
10.The BBM is quite interesting too,you can send voice note, pix, and no login required.
    11.
It will be nice to win the blackberry passport,i cant wait to explore the improved version.iamolufunke@yahoo.com
