Hello! Nigeria Magazine presents its Dec. 2014
Issue in a spectacular package dedicated to women! The cover Icon
this month, Mrs Folorunso Alakija, in an
exclusive interview, narrates her quest for a stake in the oil business,
how she was turned down several times while trying to acquire an oil
license. Read her success story behind the journey to becoming the richest black woman in the world.
I am not hating, but what is the rationale behind individuals in the country owning oil blocks? When i learn of how wealthy they are i am never impressed, that's because any one can be empowered with an oil block today and that's instant wealth. Tell me something else.
in what way is she giving back to the society....does she have a foundation targeted at a particular cause....flaunting wealth is not enough...as i write, dangote is building a public hospital in Kano valued over 2 billion naira. that's commendable. Tunde Ayeni, chairman of Skye Bank gave back to the society by donating 2 billion naira to the presidential campanin of Goodluck Jonathan....Mrs Alakija should tell us what she is doing for the society in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility..
R u serious right now????? Giving 2 billion two GEJs campaign is giving back??? How does that feed d poor or provide jobs for ppl.. some ppls thinking shaa..
This is a woman whom Mrs Babangida helped to become somebody.I thank Obama for not buying Nigerian oil again. This woman has not contributed in anyway to the society. The people will rise and these lots will go and drill oil somewhere else.
Most of the nowadays girls r ready made type.. They depends on parents, then on husbands as if women cannot make different... U can make a change in the family Economy don't relent dig deep... The abillity is in u...
She's a stunner...... Wow! I want to be like her when I grow up. #inspiration #powerfulwomen #youdonthavetositathomeandbeafool. #womenhaveequalrightssha.... Just saying.. All of you that will be coming here to scream my husband cheated, take a page from her book, you can do it too
Someone to reckon with. And to know that she's a child of God, I'm thrilled. But Linda I hear the richest black woman in the world is Isabel Dos Santos Angola president's oldest daughter. Please verify and let us know. Thanks.
Hey Lin...Much as I'd love this beautiful compatriot to be Africa's richest, she's not. That position is currently held by Isabel dos Santos, daughter of Angola's president! Dats Africa for U...Compliments of the season.
I used to know her personally many years ago. She lived close to us in a high-brow area of Surulere with her husband and four boys then. She was nice and very full of life and extremely hardworking. A real hustler! God bless her. She's made women proud.
You serve as a mentor an inspiration to me.Teach us to love with love..kindly help with a job..08023137665.Thankful in anticipation for a helping hand.
