Photo: IBB returns from Germany after 2 months

Former military Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), who left Nigeria on Sept. 6, arrived the country yesterday November 1st after undergoing surgery in a German hospital.

IBB arrived at the Minna airport by 2.50 pm in a chartered flight and was received by Mohammed and Halima, his children, as well as some government officials, his close friends and associates. He was dressed in blue kaftan with gray stripes, left the airport for his hilltop house, Minna in a BMW car and arrived at 3:15 pm into the waiting hands of four of his grand children. Continue...
In a short interview with journalists, when asked if the pressure will not be too much for him with 2015 politicking, IBB said that he had been following the political developments in Nigeria while in Germany, and added that, “I missed all of you that welcomed me, especially my local champions (journalists). I look forward to all of you, to seat and chat with you and talk about politics as we always do. For now, I want to rest.”

  30. Nigerians have very short memories, this is a man that today cannot tell us what happened to the gulf war oil windfall of 12 billions dollars that disappeared from the Nigerian treasury while he was in power.

He spent billions of our naira setting up two party structure in this country and annulled the June 12 election that threw this country into chaos thus ushering in the dark goggled evil monster called Abacha.

People are here wishing him well, ask him what happened to his best friend Maman Vatsa.

He is one of the people that ruined this nation he is one of those that created the legacy of looting and directionless that this nation is facing now.

I don't wish him well, I pray he should disappear permanently as quickly as possible so that this country will move forward.

The days of the evil men are numbered, if he dies tomorrow, I will throw a party. These people have to die so that this nation will be free of their insanity.

  31. See all of them running their mouth and naming the money he stole and d hospitals he could not build as if when they have the opportunity to rule they won't do worse. If u r given the post of just a village head, the next we will hear is that ur kids r schooling abroad. When u complain, start making the changes first. Common traffic light u cannot obey. Gulf war oil windfall lovely, 12billions dollars not. Mstchewwwww. Why u no go em minna Villa meet am make em explain wetin em take d money do?

  32. It is people like you that have been pushed inot the wall and have been plastered in, not me this is a public forum and I have freedom of speech.

This man ruined this nation he is part of the problem that has pushed us to the precipice, am not seeking to run for office in the next twenty years in this country but it is in the bible they have to undo the mess they have created in this country, each of them one buy one.

And again I will say he should die and let us be.
