  7. here is nothing special here please. the presidency alternates between member countries through their various minister of petroleum. and her tenure is for one year. i have nothing against her in this regard. its good for her and congratulations. but as usual, it would now become another campaign point for some maniac jonathanians. but only a fool would forget the massive corruption happening under her watch as the minister of petroleum, simply because of this new fit she has attained. our eyes are still on the ball. we refuse to be deceived.

    2. Clearly you're exhibiting a local trait where you're uninformed but neither know nor accept you're uninformed. The opec presidency does NOT rotate and it is incredibly political. Look at the composition of countries that make up opec...they're not exactly pro-feminism. There are also significant global political tensions at play right now which was leading countries to push particular candidates strongly. Energy industry insiders know diezani was lobbying hard for the position when the lead prospects were being blocked by the other countries. The members all but said heck no to diezani..how that went from no chance to winning...ur tax payer funds in action...

  35. congrats to her, her friends, her family and mr president's team. The new position does not add any extra value to Nigeria's oil neither does it halts the massive corruption taking place under her supervision as petroleum minister.

  45. Proud of what? when the price of oil is so down, even a tone of cement cost more than crude and OPEC still put our allocation very high leaving countries like saudi whose allocation was high when the price was good to contribute low hence consuming our fuel.we are fools to celebrate .

    ReplyDelete
  46. its just Nigeria's turn, OPEC follows the countries in alphabetical order for presidency of the conference which lasts a year only. DAM was just lucky its the turn of N....It was L before- Libya. Linda please take note and clarify....
