If you grew up in Nigeria in the 80s and 90s then you should know this woman. She was one of the original glamour gals of television.
Ruth Benamaisia-Opia was the darling of viewers for many years when she was a newscaster at NTA. She and grown daughters cover today's Vanguard Allure.
I remember her very well and the way she talks, she didn't change much....remembering the old days. lol

wow! indeed a veteran broadcaster i met her sometime ago she is very warm and welcoming the husband Mr. Opia went into exile when decleared wanted by Nigeria govt. for looting funds at his disposal while he was d then OPEC chairman.

Hauwa Baba Ahmed and Lola Alakija. They were all good newscasters.
