Woman who allegedly transformed from a bird dies in hospital

The woman who eyewitnesses claim fell from tension wire while flying as a bird and turned into this woman pictured above at Cappa B-stop, Oshodi on Friday Oct. 10th (read here), has died in hospital.

Witnesses claim they saw a bird flying around the area around 12noon that Friday afternoon, then the bird hit a high tension clable and then transformed into a badly burnt woman. Policemen arrived the scene as a crowd gathered the supposed 'witch' and took her to the hospital..

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, told Punch that the woman died in hospital and her body has been deposited at the Mainland General Hospital’s morgue.

    2. If anyone believe this, they will believe anything, but then again this is Nigeria, where superstition is the order of the day. A country where rational reality is impossible but supernatural is all that matters. We all know how badly mentally ill patients are abused and criminalized in Nigeria, and how quickly people desperately want to cling to superstitious beliefs. Unless someone caught this on tape, IT IS NOT TRUE. Like someone else asked, why is it that this nonsense only happen in Nigeria? This nonsense superstitious believe is the reason why fake preachers are feasting on Nigerians like vultures feasting on carcasses, yet the same people being taken advantage of will stand and defend an obvious thief, lie and cheat all in the name of religion. People have left God and are clamoring for the men if God; No one seem to want to know what the BIBLE said, but instead every one wants to hear the man of God's translation of the bible. May God help my country Nigeria and get people!

  72. My people we have nothing to fear but fear itself. Superstition reigns in our land and the only people who profit from it are the very ones driving the lies and fear. People with mental issues and dementia (memory loses often induced by old age or by other reasons) are routinely abused and labelled as witches etc. The suffering and lacking in our society result in many people with mental health issues many of which are also not detected or treated. Maybe one day, my people would wake up and stop believing in these unproven
theories. If na so we get juju reach, how come oyinbo man capture our Babalawo? God save us all from ourself destructive society. And we wonder why Africa is still looked upon as a dark continent.

  75. The new generation of Nigerians are a bunch of MUGUS with a capital "M". The poor woman needed medical aid and these ignoramuses are yabbing about witchcraft. It's 2014 people...get your knuckle heads out of the stone age. Nigeria will never get out of its rut with this level of stupidity. Everything in that society is blamed on spiritual this and spiritual that, no focus on the physical world. Ignorance breeds fear hate and superstition.

  76. Nawooo is this real. People don't know about Christ's coming. By dobis112@gmail.com

  77. For those who think that witchcraft can only be believed by ignorant and uneducated people, i don't know which planet you live in. Witchcraft existed before Jesus came. King Solomon wrote the witchcraft bible. There is witchcraft all over the world. They practice both black & white witchcraft in America. White witches practice the wiccan religion. There is more witchcraft today than primitive times, why? because they initiate people everyday. Children are very vulnerable to it. In the heirachy of spiritual wickedness, Witches are the lowest in rank, but the easiest to have contact with, because they multiply everyday. It is not only in Nigeria these things happen, every Country has it's own story to tell that don't particularly make international news.
