Nigerian Govt reaches ceasefire agreement with Boko Haram

According to a breaking news report on Channels TV, the Nigerian government has reached a ceasefire agreement with Boko Hraram following today's meeting between government officials led by President Jonathan's principal private secretary, Amb. Tukur, Chadian government and reps of the sect group led by Danaldi Ahmadu.

To this end, the Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, has directed all service chiefs to comply with the ceasefire agreement between Nigeria and Boko Haram in all areas of operations. Securing the release of the 219 Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram was a major part of their discussions. More later...

This will make many think this is just a tool to further his desire to run for President again! But I am just glad that the girls are coming home.

  49. THIS IS SO TIMED BY GEJ FOR ELECTION. I HAVE ALWAYS SUSPECTED THE DUDE HAS SOMETHING IN HIS MIND. HOW DOES A TERROR GROUP RISE FROM NO-WHERE AND EVOLVE TO A MENACE TO THE SOCIETY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN , ELECTIONS BECKONS AND THEY GIVE-UP THEIR ARMS SAME WAY THE MILITANTS IN THE DELTA REGION GAVE UP ARMS.

THIS GOVERNMENT IS EXTREMELY CORRUPT AND THE WORLD CAN SEE IT. I HOPE THIS COUNTRY LEARNS FROM ITS WRONG CHOICE OF LEADERSHIP. I WOULD NEVER IN MY LIFE TIME BELIEVE BOKO-HARAM WASNT PLANNED SAME WAY THE MILITANTS WERE.

NIGERIANS BE WISE. CHOOSE WISELY IN 2015.

God will surely judge all those that have their hands in the bokoharam killings Nigeria has witnenessed so far on the ground of politics. Why is it now that they are just talking truce, if there is no political undertone to all these, cos election is on the way, cheap campaign strategy on the part of whoever is their sponsor. Where man has failed to found you, God will surely find you the evil genius Behring all these. What happens after the election, hope there isn't gonna be another version of the story.

  102. Linda you can see how this GEJ is playing with the life of Nigerians, funding BKHM, killing people in the north and kidnapping little girls. All the while they claimed they couldnt negociate becos the sect was faceless and no one stated was the leader of the sect. Now they know the leader, the same leader was able to travel to saudi and the FGN went to saudi to negotiate a cease fire. KAI KAI there is God oh, BY GOD grace, all those responsible including GEJ will pay for all the innocent blood lost.Come 2015, GEJ has to leave abeg

    ReplyDelete
