Photos: Young man alleges army brutality

Here are pictures of an alleged army brutality on a young man. This happened in Barkin Ladi local government in Plateau State where some men of the Special Task Force accused the young man of stealing a rifle. The people fighting for the victim said it was later found to be untrue. The young man was supposedly tortured for over 3 weeks. See more photos after the cut...

  50. Linda is that all there is to the story? You may not be a journalist or investigative reporter but you can go a bit further to make such stories more detailed and arm your readers with enough information to draw informed conclusions. Mind you, these stories are not accessible by Nigerians only. People all over the world get to read these stuff and you just might be sending the wrong pictures to someone out there. I say so not because I doubt the capacity of men of the Nigerian army, police and even paramilitary outfits like the Nigerian Security and CIVIL DEFENCE Corps to do such or even worse but for the benefit of informed decisions or resolutions if you like. And please dear this should also apply to all your posts.

  58. This needs to be investigated. If the investigation of stealing of a knife took 3 weeks and cost so much blood, then what is the investigation of sponsors of BH going to cost?. Linda, please help to amplify it to the authourities so that it could be taken up appropriately. If the boy indeed stole the knife it means he would have paid with his life. Brutality of the military men need to be checked.
