Photos: Police and Okada men face off at Mile 2

Okada men and police men faced off this morning in the Mile 2 area of Lagos. Still trying to find out what exactly happened but according to an eye-witness, the Okada men started it by throwing rocks at the police after they were stopped from passing a particular road. Details later. Continue to see more exclusive photos...

  1. Men on uniform always causing commotion in this country when there are better issues to be handled. Let them use stones and break their heads one by one.

Don't mess with Nigeria police; they'll shoot you dead and nothing will be done abt it.. I guess the police will target and deal with him their way; I pity him.

  6. All these molestation of okada men in this nation is uncalled for, they fellow hardworking citizens of this nation trying to make ends mean, so they should stop being treated as criminals, if you dont want them riding okada then provide them with better jobs. Thats the case at one umudike in Abia state where they are asked by military men to climb down fron their bikes and push it with hands while passing their check points not minding what or whobthey are carrying as if they are slaves. Please this trend should stop.

  25. Okada men shouldn't challenge men with guns who can shoot at will. They should just abide by the law or use another method of approach for peaceful coexistence.

  34. Please do we not have Riot police men in this country, that are trained specifically to handle Riots. All I can see is gun trotting evil police men, that are eager to kill anybody.

  41. Before we start blaming police, you guys need to see what the Okada men do at this side of mile 2. They cross the central reservation, face incoming traffic in droves. It's unbelievable really what happens in that area...it's totally awful. They don't fear anyone or anything.
