Graphic pic: Aide of Govrnor-elect Ayo Fayose shot dead in Ekiti

A former chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ekiti State and staunch supporter of Mr Ayo Fayose, Mr. Omolafe Aderiye was yesterday evening shot dead by four unknown gunmen at the Ijigbo area of Ado-Ekiti the state capital.

According to Sahara reporters, Mr Aderiye was accosted and shot at close range while on his way home after a meeting with the governor elect. Reports say he was present at the Ekiti state high court yesterday where a Judge was beaten up by pro-Fayose "supporters". Continue to see a pic of the late Aderiye after he was shot...

  65. So fayose is a thug,an uncultured man and uncivilised fellow? But Fayemi in return is a gentle, refined and trustworthy individual. But b4 u spit s***s y not pause and ask y an incumbent governor wt all d aforementioned qualities will loose 16 out of 16local government areas including loosing his home town in an election.if u are not here dnt trow ur shots jst bcus of d make believe stories u read which in most cases are sponsored.peace.

Fayose: bt ur honour, its still outside d court yard and sitting is yet to bgin, bsides sir its rude to address me by my name sir y not ur excellency sir or Mr Ayo or Mr Fayose.
    CJ:u are on sumtin
Fayose: storms out of d court yard in anger nt talking to anyone n personally driving himself away
Supporters; pounce on d CJ and d rest dey say is history.the actions of d thugs was barbaric and uncalld 4 and so dey sld b brought to justice(if we still av dat in 9ja) but did d actions of a whole CJ differ frm dose of d thugs? If d above story is TRULY wat transpired in d court yard den uwe knw who started dis and u sld understand y

  73. Linda, while I understand the business rationale behind you wanting you as many hits on your blog as possible, please reconsider your (and youre not the only blogger doing this) practice of posting gruesome pics of dead bodies. ~signed by Anon D.C.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Its about respect for the dead. Imagine, god forbid, if the picture was that of your loved one or friend. The masses looking at a macabre picture may satisfy some primitive urge to see man's wickedness to fellow man, but it adds nothing of value to the story. I hope you will ruminate over what I've said and decide to be the change that starts to clean up the blog industry. Remember, you are d leader in dis industry, and when u act, your juniors will follow. Stay blessed. ~ Signed, Anon D.C.

  89. I can't bat an eye at the tragic death of any of our politicians! They are birds of same feathers; they either kill or they are killed, the difference is who does it first!
I am only bothered about the scores of Nigerians who die daily from their selfish direct or indirect political actions.

  92. I no understand what d so called dis e11 ekiti professional want to achieve seeing pple loosing life cos of their desperation for power. D same group were exposed recently by 1 of their members who said he said he left d group cos Fayemi & Oni r members of e11 group and they acted against their plan not to allow Fayose to win 2nd term. instead they impeached him b4 d time. Now election went smoothly no riot peaceful atmosphere instead which show Ekiti pple were pleased now they started problem again so Fayose will not besworn in, hunn their children r kept safely while using oda plles children for war they nid to remember last day will come soon wen they will give account of their activities in dis world.
