UAC Foods Introduces Gala Chicken Sausage Roll

UAC Foods Limited (UFL), a joint venture business between UAC of Nigeria Plc. (a leading indigenous conglomerate in Nigeria) and Tiger Brands Limited (a leading South African Foods Company) has introduced Gala Chicken Sausage Roll into the market.

The new Gala Chicken Sausage Roll, the first of its kind in the category, was recently introduced into the market as an extension to the Gala brand during the launch held in Lagos with the trade partners.

Speaking during the launch, the Managing Director of UAC Foods Limited, Dr. Tawanda Mushuku, said the new Gala Chicken Sausage Roll is an innovative extension to the Gala brand which remains the No 1 and favourite sausage roll brand among Nigerians.

Dr Mushuku explained that Gala Chicken Sausage Roll is a response to the yearnings of  the teeming consumers Gala obtained through a dedicated consumer research/feedback mechanism and relentless efforts of UFL’s Research and Product Development Department.

“UAC Foods Limited is a consumer-centric company that believes in manufacturing products to satisfy identified needs of our consumers. The new Gala Sausage Roll that we unveiled today is another innovative product developed to satisfy our consumers’ desires for a chicken-filled sausage roll”, he said.

In her remarks at the occasion, the General Manager- Marketing, UAC Foods Limited, Mrs. Joan Ihekwaba, stated that Gala Chicken Sausage is the first sausage roll in the market with 100 percent pure chicken filling enriched with vitamins and minerals.

Ihekwaba disclosed that the new Gala Chicken Sausage Roll comes in a net weight of 100g which is about 10g bigger than the classic Gala Beef Sausage Roll.

  19. why N70??? all these half-baked researchers sef...dont they know that 80 percent of sausage rolls are sold in traffic? how many people buy sausage rolls home to eat? so, how will they have change handy? like getting N30 change out of N100?? why not fix it at N50 and take away the useless additional 10g which they have charged along with it. Or better still, make it N100 and have the nonsense disappear from the market. One thing these new product developers left out is appropriate pricing. please revisit...i for one have stopped eating gala since cos Rite sausage have proven to be a far better alternative.
