    1. The movie is a rough translation of the book (with same title) by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

    2. Of course Osho, it was actually written as a book. Best to read it first before seeing it in a movie

    4. If that is all the movie has garnered so far, then, I'm afraid, they are gonna lose a lot of money. This amount translates to about $2M, and this is nothing when compared to what the producer claimed she borrowed to produce the movie.for a movie, $10M. At best, they are not going to make more than 70M naira at the Nigeria's box office.

Except the producer lied about the cost of the movie production, I cannot see how they will be able to recoup the alleged amount sunk in producing it, talk less of turning profit. Anyway, I now believe she lied.

    5. It's one of Chimamanda's books next to Purple Hibiscus. There are some things we need to know in Nigeria other than Maheeda's boobs and boko haram

  19. The best of the movie finds a way to abridge the novel and still allow the scenes to breathe.Like many a lengthy novel, it might have worked better as a television series.

  34. Problem be say, I ordered copy via amazon will be delivered tomorrow or Monday, I hope Alaba boys never order too?I'm scared for piracy for the owner of this movie, since it's out on Bluray and DVD world wide,I pray they recoup .I pray and wish them well. But if things go wrong cha, I feel they should sue the censor Board ,Federal Goverment and sue the Director of Nigeria Censor Board personally and their Board of Directors individually if they invested over $9m a year after , they made 280m Naira. Not too good interest on the $9m .will eat deep into it. What is the possibility of the them making $2m.(320m) in Naira)from Nigeria lets say west Africa or Africa I don't see that happening. But over the years they will recoup their cost, from VOD,DVD,Blue ray,Directors cut,INternational Flight income, income from TV stations world wide,Pay tv - Dstv, star time,my Guys don't worry you will get your money back, but but cha - Solomon

  39. I think they lied about the $10m. Investment, good story and good production in the B rate. Its not a big budget movie per ser by international standard, I believe the y spend between $2.5m - $3-.5m max.honestly . Saw it yesterday .if they actually spent that much they were ripped off ,considering the banker Lady has no experience in Film making before, now she knows ,I trust her she will block all lop hole for next production.
