Ebola officially moves to Port Harcourt, 70 people reportedly under surveillance

Following the death of Port Harcourt based doctor, Iyke Enemoah, from Ebola on August 22nd, 70 people in Port Harcourt who had primary and secondary contacts with the doctor and the hospital where he worked have now been put under surveillance in a bid to stop the spread of the deadly virus in the city.

Dr. Enemoah's wife is the only one who has been quarantined.

    1. Why is it that a white man feels he has Ebola, he turns himself in. But a black man will never do the same. Like why? Why sooo selfish? What is wrong with Africans? I don't get it. And that doctor. See where greed gets you. Smh! There's really no difference btw sawyer and that diplomat at this point.

Honestly,I seriously doubt that the doctor knew he was 'treating' an Ebola patient. He's not hear 2defend himself so let's go easy on him a little for d mean time till we get all details abt his involvement with his diplomat friend.Ebola has no cure for now so what treatment might he have been giving him in a hotel that doesn't even have any dish called Zmapp on their menu

The doctor is very stupid, that serve him good , because of money he put many life in danger.can he deined that he doesn't know that, that man has this disease and he logged him in the hotel for secret treatment, putting his family in danger and entire pple in problem, or have he not been hearing that who ever that have contact with ebola patient should call ebola line.that is good for him let him go and enjoy his money in the grave idiot.

All the people on the flight or means of transportation that idiot took from Lagos to PHC. We are yet to see the end of Ebola. May God rest the souls of those it is about to claim

  92. It is too late to point fingers, what we need now in PH is to create awareness and not to cause mass panic. The government should educate the people on the symptoms to look out for and where to go to if they know or think that they have been exposed to avoid putting others at risk. There are now vaccines that have been proven to combat EVD, which are already been in the Lagos treatment centre, so the earlier you check into one of the treatment centres the better for you. Let's all help to curb the spread of this dreadful disease.
We will overcome EVD, BY concerned resident.

  96. The state government lost focus as the second term began, all they cared about was how much money they could loot. the constant bickering in the health sector of rivers state is one of them. Though one shouldn't rejoice in the misfortune of others, i can't help but show how money minded these doctors can be!. They are crying for hazard allowance, when they are the least amongst medical personel except surgeons -which by the way can't operate with their bare hands and so should all medical personel. The Nurse do not shut down the health sector, neither do the medlab scientist or radiographers. these earlier mentioned allied proffessions are exposed the most to varied forms of hazards. i would also not downplay the role of the smallest cleaner, why? because they come in contact too. We all need to work together to make us better!.
