The Kate Henshaw Political Campaign has officially begun

Told you guys yesterday that iconic actress Kate Henshaw is set to contest for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives...well, her political campaign has officially begun. Go here.

Below is what she plans to achieve as a candidate...
I have a strong interest and desire to serve my people and especially show that there is a better more humane way to do things when you are in a position of leadership. Putting the people first and being accountable to them as well as being accessible.
I am also very keen to promote and champion the provision of clean water, good roads and sanitation in my constituency.
One of my key areas of project focus areas will be provison of affordable education and quality healthcare especially for expecting and young mothers.

  14. I didn't even read her manifesto...no need. Let her just add glamour to politics and chop her money abeg, and if she helps some people along the way fine.

Nice work if you can get it.

  35. 80% of the house of rep members dont even know why they are there and this trend has considerably stunted the growth of Nigeria. Same is happening here...from Kate Henshaw's objetives it is very clear she has no business with house of rep which major function is to legislate and represent and defend the constitutional rights of her constituency.
Anyway, datz nothing wrong to be ambitious, however, on electrorats matters, the best eleven should be fielded. Her objectives can be well realized with an NGO or contesting for council, LG or Gov election.

All the same I wish her the best in her political journey.

  42. I applaud her decision to step in to politics, but the real issues that are tabled and discussed in the Fed House of Reps are legislature, laws and lobbying for causes that develop your people. In Odukpani etc they already have water, roads etc. The Governor Imoke administration is already working hard in that regard. Proper preparation will lead to proper delivery.
