Nigeria Police detectives attached to Niger State Police Command on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 have arrested an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), ASC Idris Saidu over his involvement in illegal dealings in arms and ammunition. Following the arrest, the detectives also have recovered from the suspect two (2) AK-47 rifles and a large chunk of ammunition. The suspect, male and 33yrs of age who hails from Maje Village, Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State and currently serving at NSCDC Headquarters, Minna, was arrested at Fadikpe Area of Chachanga Local Government of Niger State following a tip-off from a patriotic Nigerian. Continue...
In his statement to the Police, ASC Idris Saidu stated
that he bought the arms and ammunition as part of his personal contribution to
his maternal community who are presently engaged in communal crisis with the
Fulanis in Taraba State – an action clearly intended to fuel communal tension
and strife within the state.
The suspect, who has given useful information to
the Police that will lead to the arrest of his accomplices, will be arraigned
in court as soon as investigation into the case is completed.
Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP
MD Abubakar, CFR,
NPM, mni, psc while commending
the member of the public whose information led to the arrest of the suspect, enjoins
other citizens to emulate this patriotic act and support the security Forces
with credible information in their effort at making Nigeria safer for all.

ReplyDeleteWHEN is the alleged "Inspector-General of Police," MD Abubakar and his town crier, Frank "Quasi" Mba going to MAN UP and arrest the BIG CRIMINALS that are causing havoc in Nigeria? Have they not discovered those who are behind Boko Haram? Are the sponsors of Boko Haram sacred cows that cannot be brought to book? Is Nigeria Police armless that it can't catch the sponsors of Boko Haram? When will these war mongers, Boko Haram sponsors and murders be arrested?: ALI MODU SHERIFF, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Atiku Abubakar, El Dwarf Rufai, Muhammadu Buhari, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa. It seems MD Abubakar ain't man enough to arrest the big criminals. It seems the alleged "Inspector-General of Police" is an expert in catching pickpockets and little crooks and publicising his "conquests" through his town crier, Frank "Quasi" Mba (Quasimodo, the bell-ringer). In Nigeria, when intellectually challenged police force are not capable of doing their jobs, they create subterfuge and divert public attention and occupy the public's mind with frivolous arrests. ARRESTING LITTLE CRIMINALS AND FOOLING THE PUBLIC AND THE PRESIDENCY DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE DOING A GOOD JOB. Why is it that the Nigerian Police specialises in catching PETTY CRIMINALS - pimps, hookers, pickpockets, bootleggers and burglars??? In my opinion, the alleged "Inspector-General of Police" is weak, clueless and incompetent. WHILE HE IS CATCHING SMALL CRIMINALS, HE MUST ALSO CATCH THE BILLIONAIRE HAUSA / FULANI CROOKS. HE NEEDS TO SOLVE MAJOR CRIMES, NOT JUST MINOR CRIMES. In the Nigeria federal criminal code, crimes are divided into TWO broad categories:
ReplyDelete(1) CRIMES BY THE MASSES (the over 100 million impoverished populace who continue to endure grotesque poverty on a daily basis).
Maximum punishment and incarceration (jail time) for crimes committed by the hapless masses ...
assault, stop light run, damaging of someone property, egging someones house... You can instantly die in prison or spend 25 years on death row.
(2) CRIMES BY THE OLIGARCHS & PLUTOCRATS (the "privileged").
No punishment and no incarceration (jail time) for oligarchs and plutocrats who commit major crimes on an hourly basis. In Nigeria, the following groups are untouchable and above the law: arms dealers, drug barons, Boko Haram financiers, Islamic terrorists .. You are a sacred cow if you are involved in institutionalised racketeering, illicit drugs production / processing and/or trafficking, illicit oil trade, oil bunkering, piracy, arms trafficking, kidnapping / extortion rackets, ISLAMIC JIHAD, GENOCIDE, POGROM, ETHNIC CLEANSING,...
The oil companies, the media, the judiciary, the police, the military and the politicians are all part of the organised crime syndicates that are destroying Nigeria. Oil wealth from oil blocks licenses that are in private hands and the wealth from stolen Nigerian oil is what is funding Boko Haram insurgency and many criminal activities in Nigeria. The government is incentivising corruption and criminality. The more you steal, the more you are rewarded and applauded. Corruption in Nigeria is on an industrial scale. Corruption is why the BIG CRIMINALS (gangs, syndicates, barons, kingpins, mafias and politicians and members of the Nigerian Army who team up with criminal gangs and members of the Nigerian Police who team up with criminal gangs) are NEVER arrested by the NIGERIAN POLICE. Nigerian Police only arrest low-level opportunists. Nigeria is a FAILED STATE, a banana republic. FAKE COP.
