Despite their seemingly hopeless condition, two of Albrecht Durer the Elder’s children had a dream...Read THE STORY BEHIND ‘THE PRAYING HANDS

  59. Jama'a, Onyi, Akweke, Junior, Jay... All the names I used to call you then you smile and laugh and say something naughty. God I miss you so much. It hurts so bad. We can't stand it. Feels like we are drowning nd can't breathe.
I can picture you smiling and telling us to be strong. We will try dear. Just cause we know you are resting now.
I'm happy you are with your dad now. I know you've missed him too.
I miss you. I miss you so much J. I've spent the past day having bouts of tears whenever your face pops up in my mind or something you said.
We love you. I know you didn't mean to hurt us like this. So we only trust God. He has all the answers.
Strangely, I feel a lil glad you died doing what you loved. Flying your MI-35!
    Just rest darling.
    I love you so much.

Jama'a Dennis Akweake Nwankile Jr. I have known you since kindergarten, we've been close friends through primary & secondary school... you sat right next to me (on my right hand side) from our SS1 all through SS3... only a handful of people would laugh when they hear the words; "Choo-Choo, Choo-Choo Thomas", you and i are amongst those few... it was because of your support & encouragement that I am finally summoning the courage to enlist into the Nigerian Airforce DSS... Our last conversation was on Friday, we were gisting about Olaolu's upcoming wedding & teasing each other when we would also tie the knot.

It is against my faith to question the will of God, besides I know he loves you way more than I ever did... i can only hope that this is a dream & i would wake up tomorrow and this nightmare would all be over.

Akweake I pray your gentle soul rests in perfect peace & i pray God gives your family the fortitude to bare your passing. Until we meet again, my good friend... Godspeed.
