Photos: Finally President Jonathan and Sanusi meet in Abuja

Who would have thunk it? That these two men will meet and heartily greet each other? President Jonathan and former CBN Governor and newly installed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi met today July 23rd for the first time since Sanusi's installation as Emir.

They met at the Presidential Villa in Abuja where Sanusi had gone to break the Ramadan fast with the President. The reconciliation meeting was brokered by the Sultan of Sokoto, Saa’ad Abubakar. See more photos after the cut...

  90. And for those of you who thinks sanusi is bigger than the president, that is not true, Emir of kano is just in kano State not Nigeria. Every State have their own traditional ruler. Yorubas have Oba's , Igbos have Igwe's so why is housas own which is Emir so special? So as far am concerned sanusi lamido is a run away thief.

This is very good to see. Sanusi is a representative of his people now. He must be more mature and impartial than he's been. Time to discard El-Rufai and co. He should focus on improving the lot of his Kano people and bring peace. He should leave El-Rufai to his shinanigans.
