Ghen-Ghen! Police ordered to arrest new Emir of Kano, Sanusi, for 'Fraud'

The President Jonathan vs Sanusi war has begun! According to a report by Sahara Reporters, police have been ordered to arrest the new Emir of Kano for 'Fraud'. Below is how SR is reporting it..
The Nigerian police have been ordered to arrest the newly-crowned Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, on fraud-related charges stemming from his tenure as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
According to reliable sources at the Presidency in Abuja, the team of policemen at the Emir’s palace in Kano received the order from the Nigeria police headquarters to place Mr. Sanusi under arrest if he leaves the Kano Governor’s lodge.
The sources told SaharaReporters that Mr. Sanusi was to be arrested at his private home on Sunday night after his appointment was announced by the Kano State Governor.
It would be recalled that the presidency embarked on several frantic measures to frustrate the former CBN governor’s emergence as Emir, including the premature congratulations of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to one of the candidates before the choice was announced.

Since becoming Emir, Mr. Sanusi has been inside the Kano State governor’s lodge, receiving visitors and undertaking traditional rites.

The source also told SaharaReporters that some notable northern leaders have already warned President Jonathan to avoid such a reckless action so as to avoid setting fire to the already volatile situation in the city of Kano. It is not known if President Jonathan is favoring back channel dialogue aimed at resolving the mess. Observers point out that he has yet to offer congratulations to the new Emir despite the PDP doing so.

So bcus of the missing girls any body can come and steal money? No. How do u know that sanusi didn't use dat money to sponsor boko haram. Listen, being afraid and running away will not save you oh. You have to fight. Unless if you want people to shit and piss on you all d time. Nigerians stop running from ur problems. Face it like a man for God's sake. It's not gonna go away like that.

    10. It's non of my business but Nigeria's are blinded by unnecessary sentiments. If Saudi is a fraud cause if missing money and the president ordered for his arrest, why has that same president failed to arrest a criminal like main o. The pension fund scam whose report showed main was guilty, why did he not order the Senate to investigate Allison, what hapnd to the report from the audit of NIGCOMSaT account since Feb 18. Where and what has been done to the luxury cars bought by the estwhile Minister of aviation. Why didn't he let Nigeria's know Where the brand new Jeeps for WEF went to. Why didn't they probe or arrest other ministers and loyaltist of Jonathan's administration who were found guilty? Nigeria you must all open your eyes and ask questions. It is your country. If we continue with all dis religious sentiments and other nonsense we will be doomed.

  39. Please Mr President, avoid over heating the polity. The situation in the country is already too volatile so don't make it worse. You rode to the presidency with so much good will from the masses because people felt you are humble, easy going and a victim of aggression from the old northern politicians. If you make people begin to feel you are the aggressor, you'll throw away that goodwill completely. Let the Emir be. May God continue to protect and strengthen you. God bless Nigeria.

  48. My dear Mr president ,
If this news is true, please be wary of the sycophants and no gooders that are hanging around you and advising you.
Let this matter be.at least for now.the north is already burning, please do not allow yourself be used to add some more fuel.
More often than not, traditional rulers aren't always a 100% accepted by all.the south and the west are no exception.if the Nigerian police have anything against the emir, they should perfect their documents and evidence and charge him to court.
Even in the south south a few months back, the traditional ruler that tried to change the tradition met with stiff opposition causing losses till he rescinded his decision.as Christian or Islamic as Nigerians claim to be,we can be quite traditional.
Leave this particular mess alone.the northern caliphate will fight you.
Remember you publicly pardoned condemned criminals that were found guilty home and abroad and that remain wanted abroad.(DSP ALAMESEIGHA)
Be careful my dear president.let the northerners hold the north.you cannot win a fight against people slaughtering themselves like chickens.
    Please take caution.

    Is GEJ going mad?

Yesterday it was unreasonable and unwarranted attack on selected "newspaper bombs"

Now, it is arresting Sanusi, the new Emir of Kano instead of fighting Boko Haram and rescuing our girls.

GEJ...Nigerians survived Abacha'S reign of terror becos there is God oh!

  107. Nobody is above the law...including Sanusi Lamido Sanusi but if this story is true, I'm sure most people would agree with me that our clueless president is not doing this because it is the right thing to do but simply because he and his gang of bitter thieves have been trying to nail Sanusi since.
Anyways, as usual our president doesn't reason beyond his nose so stupid decisions have become his trademark and if this witch-hunting is true, then goodluck to him if/when any repercussions show up.

  108. Some of us Nigerians are very oblivious of the power invested on the office of the president that is why we open our mouth so wide to dish out words without reservation.
The decayed in our moral values can't be attributed to GEJ but rather a lot of us lack a good sense of decency and we rather than proffering constructive ideas that can change our generation, all we do is to speak erroneously and taking sides. Is Sanusi above the law? Why would we Nigerians don't question his ascension to the throne knowing very well that his indictment for misappropriation of public funds has not been proven to be false to exonerate his enthronement as an emir. Let us the young ones with all our education couple with the globalization be constructive and ask questions for a better Nigeria.
This is not about GEJ but about having a country that we can be proud of and all of us be in a ready position to eliminate corruption.

  119. Sanusi should face the law. Most Nigerians are are just noise makers. If Sanusi is arrested nothing will happen. People will just protest and go back to their business . Besides, majority of the people will support the move of removing Sanusi. Nigeria President is the most powerful on earth. He can do and undo. More powerful than US President. Us President is subject to their constitution, but that of Nigeria is a matter of choice.

Sanusi Lamido has questions to answer so he has to be arrested not running to take a post so that he CANNOT be touched. But remember the Emir of Kano is as good as all other Traditional rulers or Royal Majesties of diff kingdoms. GEJ has a good agenda for Nigeria but the bad eggs will not allow him. GEJ till 2019. 123. RIGHT MOVE, MR PRESIDENT. SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI AND RABIU KWANKWASO MUST BE ARRESTED IMMEDIATELY. If Sanusi wants to be Emir, he should head to Niger Republic or Chad or the Sahara desert were his rotten and filthy ancestors originally came from.

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, EMIR OF BOKO HARAM, started a fire and that fire will consume him and those rotten HAUSA / FULANI mafia that have been holding Nigeria to ransom and destroying Nigeria and the Presidency. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi committed a multi-billion Naija FRAUD at Nigeria’s Central Bank. Those rotten people who crowned him knew he was facing fraud investigations, but they nonchalantly bypassed procedures and covertly shielded him from prosecution. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi unlawfully used CBN (FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S) money and made unlawful "donations" to so called charitable organisations in the north. Those "donations" were billions of Naira and those so called "donation" were unlawful and those "donations" were later diverted into private pockets. What I'm saying is Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is a rogue, a THIEF. He stole money belonging to Nigeria and used it to fund his campaign to be crowned "Emir of Kano." The CBN funds that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and his gang claims were "donated" were diverted into the pockets of his people and associated, especially kwankeaso and the northern elders and others. Without the money Sanusi stole from the Central Bank of Nigeria, he would never be Emir of Kano today. That crook, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi stole Nigerian government's money and bought himself the emirship of Kano. EMIR OF BOKO HARAM must be stopped. He's not above the law. He's a criminal and belongs in jail.

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, is a traitor and DEMONIC and will be dethroned. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has blood on his hands and will get his comeuppance (deserved fate). He is a stooge of Arab invaders who (through islam) covertly want to colonise Nigeria. Middle Eastern organisations and governments are part of the evil cabal that's been covertly funding the insurgency in North Eastern Nigeria which have taken many lives and destroyed many homes and businesses and wrecked havoc on Nigeria's economy.

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (SATAN, BOKO HARAM), El Rufai, Buhari, APC and their misguided and brainwashed thugs have, for over 5 years, been slaughtering Nigerians, destroying the economy and destabilising the unity of Nigeria.

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is the emir of Kano ("village headmaster", a figure head - a POINTLESS traditional ruler; a local "champion" in Kano). Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is NOT "king" of nigeria. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is insignificant. Goodluck Jonathan is Nigerian President. Power pass power. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has a case to answer. He's not above the law. Being the emir of Kano does not grant Sanusi Lamido Sanusi immunity from prosecution.

Both the Federal Government of Nigeria, the U.S government, FBI, CIA, UK's Secret Intelligence Service (SIS. aka: MI6), and Israeli Mossad (IM) know that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is an ISLAMIC TERRORIST, CRIMINAL, MURDERER, TRAITOR and ECONOMIC SABOTEUR. He is rotten, VERY corrupt, has blood on his hands and will be deposed and put in jail were he belongs. The Federal Government of Nigeria, UK government, US government, African leaders and the European Union need to impose indefinite travel restrictions on Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (Nigerian's "Osama Bin Laden" that's now masquerading as the "emir of Kano") all members of his family and all officials of Shura/ Taran Kano (Galadima, Madaki, Alkali, Wambai, Makama, Sarkin Dawaki, Sarkin Bai, Dan, Iya, Chiroma), etc. There must be no private jets and no diplomatic immunity for any of them. They're terrorists and a threat to Nigeria, Nigerians, Africa and the whole world. They must always be search, watched and treated like the criminals they are.

  126. SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI IS THE EMIR OF BOKO HARAM, SANUSI IS THE WANNABE OF THE HAUSA / FULANI OLIGARCH AND THE CHIEF SPONSOR OF TERRORISM IN NIGERIA. THE U.S AND UK INTELLIGENCE KNOWS THIS INFORMATION.

BOKO HARAM IS A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE BY THE HAUSA FULANI OLIGARCH TO GRAB POWER AND MAKE MONEY FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR ASSOCIATES.

WHEN GOODLUCK JONATHAN SAID HE WILL DEFEAT BOKO HARAM, HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. HAVE YOU NOT HEARD HOW FEDERAL TROOPS ROUTED BOKO HARAM "FIGHTERS"? THEY WERE ANNIHILATED AND SERIOUSLY HUMILIATED.

BOKO HARAM IS SUFFERING HEAVY LOSES AND THRIR LEADERS AND SOLDIERS ARE BRING ELIMINATED OR CHASED OUT THE COUNTRY.

THE MEDIA ARE NOT ALLOWED TO REPORT THESE, BUT THE NIGERIAN ARMY AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ARE DOING A GREAT JOB.

  128. The Nigeria's security and unity problem called Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was legitimised by APC's treachery. The appointment of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as Emir of Kano by APC and Governor RABIU KWANKWASO of Kano is an act of deliberate mischief. The Nigerian Senate recently declared Sanusi Lamido Sanusi a LIAR and MISCHIEF-MAKER for making FALSE allegations that 49 billion Naira was missing from the federal accounts. A LIAR and MISCHIEF-MAKER is unsuitable for the politically-sensitive post of Emir of Kano. Even a kindergarten ought to know that. Governor Kwankwaso himself was accused of being a FRAUDSTER by Goodluck Jonathan, the President of Nigeria. The situation at hand is that an alleged FRAUDSTER appointed another alleged FRAUDSTER into high office. APC, RABIU KWANKWASO and SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI are undermining the reputation and integrity of the important city of Kano. There are protocols concerning the appointment of Emirs and Obas in Nigeria. Even if there is none, should common sense or propriety not tell (that horrible and odious) RABIU KWANKWASO that someone facing corruption charges is NOT eligible for political appointment? Only in Nigeria does this kind of disregard for ETHICS and GOOD GOVERNANCE hold sway. Since this foolishness, recklessness, ineptitude, incompetence, error of judgment and SERIOUS LACK OF JUDGEMENT is coming from RABIU KWANKWASO, a State Governor and a so called new "kingpin" of the APC, who is even being touted as "presidential candidate material," what does it tell us about the so called “fresh air” that APC claims it will bring to Nigerian politics? It tells us that APC IS A CHARADE. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi appointment as emir of Kano is a political appointment, an APC appointment and was made for political reasons, especially the 2015 presidential election. Governor RABIU KWANKWASO who made the stupid and unlawful appointment is a rebel PDP Governor who recently defected to the APC. He would NEVER have made the appointment as a PDP governor because he was fully aware of the allegations against that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. Sanusi's appointment was made by the pathetic and small-minded RABIU KWANKWASO to spite the government of Goodluck Jonathan. But what idiots such as RABIU KWANKWASO don’t understand is that when they undermine the government of Goodluck Jonathan, they are undermining the the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Nigerian economy, investors' confidence in Nigeria and Nigerians at home and abroad.

    ReplyDelete
  129. In my humble opinion, Rabiu Kwankwaso is an unworthy Governor of Kano State. He's a prankster and mischief-maker. Damn. That hopeless creature from the Kano mafia seems not to have any no sense of decency or loyalty towards his electorates. Rabiu Kwankwaso and the Kano oligarch ("mafia") stabbed HIS OWN PEOPLE (the people of Kano) in the back. TRAITOR. The people of Kano deserve better. One of the allegations against Sanusi Lamido Sanusi by the federal government is that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is suspected to be one of the financiers of Boko Haram. The fact that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is now appointed as Emir, without these allegations being ironed out, is further evidence that some Northerners are not ready to confront the issue of terrorism in the North. If they were, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, a man facing terrorism-related charges by the federal government of Nigeria, would not be the preferred choice as Emir of Kano, a city that has been attacked severally by the Boko Haram, a criminal and terrorist organisation. By this act, Rabiu Kwankwaso has made himself an unworthy governor of Kano. Only an unworthy governor would turn such a revered institution as the emirate of Kano into political football. Rabiu Kwankwaso has made the people of Kano into a laughing-stock, nationally and internationally. Revered institutions such as the Emir of Kano should be beyond the shenanigans of political manipulation. There is NOTHING progressive about the APC. NOTHING. THEY ARE CARPETBAGGERS AND DESPERATE AND UNSCRUPULOUS OPPORTUNISTS. The appointment of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the new Emir of Kano is further proof. What the APC bring to Nigeria is the same tired old-time corrupt politics that has been the bane of the country for the longest time. APC is a big charade and a con. Don't fall for heir scam. Unfortunately for Rabiu Kwankwaso, he chose the wrong state to do this PRANK. Kano is a highly volatile city. The people of Kano are not going to take Sanusi Lamido Sanusi's appointment and Rabiu Kwankwaso's INSULT lightly. THEY WONT and SHOULDN'T. Already, there have been a number of violent skirmishes since his appointment. Rabiu Kwankwaso has lighted a bush-fire whose consequences will be more than he bargained for. Kano citizens have been brazenly disrespected by Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and they will go in registering their protest. Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso’s act will backfire against him and APC in Northern Nigeria, especially in Kano. We have not yet heard the last of APC and Kwankwaso’s treachery. Thanks to the Sanusi Lamido Sanusi saga, the naivety, stupidity, foolishness, ineptitude and recklessness of Rabiu Kwankwaso will cost APC. I'm loving it. I'm very excited. lol

GEJ, there are steps if taken the right way at the wrong time would destroy whatever you have toiled to sustain. Aren't you tired of killings and bloodshed? Is Sanusi the biggest thief or the weakest you think you can chase? If you think you are all about the law, doesn't Sanusi have immunity as a traditional ruler as you have? You know you are biting more than you can chew... You are not a saint and you know it, even Nigeria knows it. Stop being a HYPOCRITE. Remember, a FOOL at 40 is a FOOL FOREVER..
