Actress Chioma Akpotha bitterly spoke out yesterday about how she and a colleague were harassed in Enugu by some police officers. This morning, she shared the video of incident. See it after the cut..
That video is too short to show the supposed anomaly. But frm wat I saw, there was nothing wrong. Its a known fact that Naija police love harrassing ppl for money but if u re innocent and u dnt want to give them money, then let them search u. Nobody is above the law. Police officers have the right to stop people anywhere in the world, I can't see any harassment in the video however if you feel you were harassed then go and make a complain at the police station accompanied by a lawyer, you don't need to know the DPO.

If they end up shooting someone, it'll be considered as an accidental discharge. Police has no right to search you, they are public servant, if you don't require their service they don't come close to you. you can arrest them base on citizen right, this scum bags occupying Biafra territory has no right to stop anyone,
If he has evidence of accusation ask him to present that in court of law, no police officer has the right to stop and search you base on assumption.

If they end up shooting someone, it'll be considered as an accidental discharge. If everyone can agree on what is right or wrong then we'll be sure to say that no matter which part of the world we are living in, this is wrong. Also this has nothing to do with her status, most people experience this and choose to ignore it but we cannot condemn those that try to expose such behaviour, officers are meant to protect and serve and not intimidate people who refuse to give them handouts.

ReplyDeleteI do not see any harassment in this video except there are more. The Police have right to search you if they suspect anything. The young men in the video did prove stubborn honestly . It's only the man that is alive can truly explain what happened . Having known and heard about accidental discharge I wonder why a sane person will be arguing with any Nigerian police. Simply obey and if you feel cheated get his particulars and forward it to appropriate authority. Do not risk your life o?
