She was supposed to be marrying her Muslim lawyer, Barr. Tijani when the wedding was called off.
Vanguard reports that the Governor
of Niger state, Babangida Aliyu, where Charity now Aisha resides,
ordered that the wedding to be stopped when he got information that the
young lady's parents were not informed of her upcoming wedding. Imams
and other Muslim clerics were already gathered when the wedding was
called off. (her dad pictured above).

ReplyDeleteAm really surprised and dissappointed in some of our comments.what kind of country is this.what we comment at times is even worse than boko haram.if we are so dilapidated in our thinking to take certain decision that is good for your life then dont blame whoever does.we dont know our right and we blame whoever is exercising his or hers.if your parent want you to read law and you went for accounting.is there any diff wen compared to this.so mqny muslims married to christian almost everyday without any issue.your destiny lies in ur hands.the fact that you are birn into this world by your parent does not mean you can not decide what you want for yourself.nigeruans please let us be matured about our comments.its her decision.saying she will regret it is totally out of it.infact she will be blessed for taking the right decision.may GOD help us.thanks

Nigeria's educational system has failed us.
I want to warn all christian girls, especially those dating muslim guys n thinking they can chop n clean mouth. These guys have one charm called 'telisman', if they use it on u u can die for them. Make dis observation of christian girls that married muslim guys, they fight their family with all their strength just to be with d guy. Why is it that a christian girl doesn't convert except a guy is involved? Y is that they're always ready to abandon their whole family just to b with d guy(its not usually easy for a girl to make such decision). I know several ones, but d most shocking is a girl(undergraduate) that eloped with d father's gateman( does it make any sense to u), they now have 2 children where he lives in one room as a gateman(dis girl's father has a duplex). Bcos of this particular story, if any muslim guy comes to me, my mother can cut his head. To this aisha,know this, after 4 children he'll divorce u and remove d telisman, ur eyes will be clear but u'll be frustrated with no husband or family, he's a sharia lawyer, if u enter labour in his absence n a male doctor delivers u, he will cut off ur too legs, so be careful. ReplyDeleteFirst of all, serving God is personal. Secondly of all, Nigeria is a multireligious country, people should have the fundamental right to choose which religion they choose to practise. Thirdly, the responses here should a deep social problem with Us, Nigerians, which is a total lack of respect for another man's beliefs simply because we do not share those religious beliefs. I see alot of Judges here, but i do remember in the same bible, we were all told not to judge. i do solemnly hope one day, we are mature enough to respect peoples wishes as individuals which is within their rights. I am a Christian. The way we practise Christianity in Nigeria is like competition. very sad. Anyway may the Good lord forgive us all for Judging out of ignorance and intolerance.

It's one thing to be a christain or muslim (by name) and it's another thing to worship God and lead a good life… i'ld like the so-called christains to ask theirselves "am i acting like christ?" did Jesus Christ harbor hate in his heart for his fellow men???
