One of the Emirs attacked by Boko Haram today reportedly dies

There were reports earlier today that two prominent Borno State Emirs, the Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Idrissa Timta (pictured left) and Emir of Uba Alhaji Ali Ibn Ismaila Mamza (pictured right) were kidnapped by Boko Haram men while on their way to Gombe to attend the burial of Emir of Gombe, Shehu Abubakar.

According to Daily Trust, one of the Emirs, Alhaji Idrissa Timta has died. Security sources said he died of heart attack while fleeing into the bush after gunmen attacked his convoy and fired several shots which forced it to stop. Continue...

“Already, arrangement is being made to bring his corpse to Gwoza from Shafa. His corpse was found in the bush,” a source said.

The Emir of Uba, Alhaji Ali Ibn Ismaila Mamza, who is younger, escaped while many of the people in their entourage have been reportedly abducted by the attackers.

It was gathered that most of the vehicles in the convoy have been set ablaze.

And we have a president who thinks negotiating and granting Amnesty to terrorists would make things better, SMH!

Simple case of boko has grown bigger than its sponsors. And they get angrier when this sponsors refuse to meet their needs.

    2. Mr Bonario why are you so Blind to the Fact that Boko-Haram is a Tool used to make Jonathan's administration Ungovernable?

It's as crystal clear as ABC. Shey Kabiru Sokot was caught in the Borno State's Governors Lodge in Abuja and over 26 Boko Haram Boys was found in Ali Ndume's house. Remember Northern Islamic Idiots saying they will make Jonathan's administration Ungovernable?

  50. What goes around comes around. The souls of our christian brethren have cried out and jehova the God of war has started to act. They are now killing their own. They have become wild, unfocused and demonic. When the attacks were focused on Christians, some of their leaders turned a blind eye. Now see. Their lands are beginning to turn barren. Its time for the south to depend on our lands for food just like Isreal. Any abuse to me especially from a Christian who has forgotten so soon the Suleja Xmas bombings I say BACK TO SENDER IN JESUS NAME.

  57. In the year 2005 I watch a 45 minutes documentary on CBN that in 4 or 5 years time Nigeria will start experiencing terrorist insurgency brought on by a disgruntled and frustruated able bodied jobless northern youths.

Am not suprised this is happening,God has not designed man like an animal to only eat, sleep and procreating, humans are created to progress or deginerate, for years the north ruled this nation and systematically looted the treasury and deliberately impoverished their people. So the seed they have sown has come back to haunt them am not sad the man died and with our military in tatters over years of negligence and diversion of funds meant for improving the defence ministry, things will only get worse am not a pessimist but with blatant looting of the treasury of the years and millions of youths wondering about aimlessly, this is bound to happen.

THE CHICKEN HAS COME HOME TO ROOST. Nigerians get ready for the worse. This country has no future .

  59. What is government doing. In spite of emergency rule, the killing goes on. Now, it should be clear that the arm of flesh cannot deliver us except God. Our soldiers have chickened out. Oh God, forgive us and deliver us. Do not mind our senseless outbursts like the one from Maku that 90 percent of protesters are from the opposition. Forgive him because he is can say anything to secure his job. Oh Gid come quickly and manifest your power and sovereignty.
