Konga celebrates 10,000 kids as it hits 1million fans on Facebook

Last year, Nigeria’s online marketplace, Konga.com in collaboration with some other Nigerian companies celebrated 5000 children at Tafawa balewa square, Lagos, with gifts, games and other interesting things that truly put smiles on their faces. See pictures here

This year, Konga in collaboration with Triple X entertainment and other companies came together to host an event at Muri Okunola Park, VI today,  Tuesday, May 27th, 2014. The event which comes just after Konga launched its special children’s day store saw special prizes given to kids that participated in spelling bee competitions, dancing competitions & other side attractions. Today, Konga also celebrates reaching the 1 Million happy fans milestone on Facebook, making them the most liked e-commerce platform in Africa.

Speaking about this, Gabriel Gab-Umoden, Head of Marketing at Konga.com says

“Today, May 27th, 2014, we reached a new milestone as a company, a true testament to our hard work and dedication to serving our customers better. We will not rest on these oars but will continue to innovate and drive the adoption of e-commerce and its benefits, to all of Africa.

May 27th is also a day dedicated to celebrating Children all around the world, and in our own little way with prizes such as tablets, desktop computers etc., we hope to empower these kids with the tools to help mold the bright future of Nigeria”

Parents looking to surprise their children with amazing but budget items like books, stationery, clothes, shoes and educational toys can still enjoy special discounts on the Konga Children’s day store which will be open till the end of the week.

Adults are also not left out of the celebration, with a special page created here for adults to enjoy discounts this end of the month
