Angelina Jolie and Sean 'Diddy' Combs also lend their voices

Music mogul Diddy posted the message above on his instagram page today, while actress and UN ambassador, Angelina Jolie spoke about the missing girls during a press conference in Paris today..
“Sadly of course there is real evil in the world, you watch the news and you see all of the people suffering and so much cruelty. It’s unthinkable cruelty like these girls that were kidnapped in Nigeria. Unthinkable cruelty and evil,” she said.

  2. In a country where GEJ is Prof Wole Soyinka's president, Angelina Jolie lends her support to the #BringBackOurGirls campaign, while Osita Iheme aka pawpaw still doubts the girls were actually kidnapped. What an Irony.

  8. I aint moved by all these..
Personally, all the displays and hash tags are show offs..
Wondering if they expect BH to release the girls cause of the media hype..

    1. The hashtags attract attention of international media which then attracts the attention of international celebrities and high profile figures and they put pressure in their leaders to help out and also put pressure on the Nigerian president to do something instead of just sitting there and dragging his feet. Without the media hype, ordinary Nigerians would just have complained in vain and everything would have been swept under the rug. They even tried to do that at first, that's why it took the president weeks before even saying anything. These hashtags are really helping, don't underrate it's influence.... Just Me

    2. The media hype is not necessarily directed at Boko Haram. It is mostly intended to push GEJ and make sure this does not end in "nothingness: as usual. Is it not all this pressure that woke up the govt to start working hard and communicating to us? After 3 whole weeks? That's what these hash tags and mentions have brought. #bringbackourgirls

I still pray for Nigeria. I'm happier though that people are finally standing up and doing something. We need to "do something" so our prayers won't be in vain.

    ReplyDelete
  31. When will America act? Everybody but the people that matter have spoken!

    ReplyDelete
  32. If 1 girl was kidnapped in america, the whole of america would be concerned, but in nigeria where many people are killed daily by terrorist, over 200 girls were kidnapped and as long as it is not some people's sisters and daughters, they don't care. And they want to justify their insensitivity with conspiracy theory, 'where are there mothers? Where are their pictures? You are boko haram & only want to bring down my husband's government? Na only u waka come?' Etc. Sad. Very sad

  36. @Valentino, Osita's question is baseless and stupid as he is. Why not question the ability of your president as a leader and leave Bona alone. This country is like living in hell,on judgement day I'll just hold up a Nigerian flag to show God I've been through hell already.

  37. Protest here, protest there, protest EVERYWHERE.

    Enough already!

Do terrorists listen to protest? Do they listen to the 'VOICES' of western celebrities?

They understand only one language- VIOLENCE.

This is beyond what the government can handle. Give the job to the Israelis, they will smoke them out of their hideout and many will not be alive to testify to what happened to them!

What has to be done, has to be done!

  39. BONARIO. You truly are an ignorant individual. Pawpaw did not express any doubt about the kidnapping being genuine or not. What he questioned and I question too is why we have not been given facts about 200andsomething odd girls taken from their school.
What are they names? Where are their photographs? What are their parents’ names? What are their favourite things? Have you watched the news when tragic events like this occur in other parts of the world? Breaking New: X people kidnapped from x. Word reaching us is that among the missing is Jane Doe, 14years old from x and you see a picture of Jane pop up on the screen. With this situation…Nothing! I am by no means disrespecting this horrible, horrible situation but that sad looking ‘new’ house girl that has just been acquired by my new neighbour could be one of the girls. How would I know when the facts are so unclear.
