Photos: Fire guts PDP National Secretariat in Abuja

The headquarters of the PDP, Wadata House in Wuse Zone 2 Abuja was gutted by fire around 8.15 last night. A section of the building, which the party uses as its press center, was completely razed.

The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisah Metuh, confirmed the incident and said it was not sabotage, but electrical fault. He said the fire started from an air-conditioning unit in one of the cabins and had been put under control by men of the Federal Fire Service.
“The PDP rules out any form of sabotage or attack and hereby wishes to inform all our members and teeming supporters that the fire has since been put under control,’’ Metuh said in a short statement.

  30. BECAUSE THIS HAPPENED IN ABUJA, EVERYBODY IS NOW FEELING IT....IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IN THE NORTH, EVEN THIS LAST WEEK.

    NIGERIANS, WAKE UP...

    1) START A RALLY.
ORGANIZE GROUPS IN EVERY STATE, LOCAL GOVERNMENT, SECRETARIAT ETC...
DO THIS FOR AT LEAST ONE WEEK OR EVERY FRIDAY.....

    2) GOVERNMENT MUST MOUNT CCTV CAMERAS ON EVERY MAJOR CORNER..MOTOR PARKS, MARKETS, MALL, SCHOOLS, CHURCHES ETC AND ALSO MAKE SURE THIS CAMERAS ARE DIGITAL AND WORKING....
THEY SHOULD CREATE A JOB AND HIRE PEOPLE TO MONITOR THESE CAMERAS 24 hours a day...THAT WILL HELP REDUCE UNEMPLOYMENT ISSUE.

    3) THEY SHOULD ENGAGE MTN, AIRTEL AND ALL OTHER MOBILE COMMUNICATION ORGANIZATION TO START MONITORING CALLS.
THESE TERRORIST CAN BE CAUGHT USING THAT METHOD.
IN AMERICA, CALLS ARE MONITORED AND CERTAIN WORDS CAN TRIGGER THE AUTHORITIES...
USE THIS MEDIUM AND CREATE JOBS FOR PEOPLE.

    4) GET SOME PEOPLE TRAINED TO DO DETECTIVE WORK AND UNDERCOVER AGENTS...

    5) INCREASE THE SALARY OF THE POLICE, AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, FURNISH THEM WITH BULLETPROOF CARS AND VESTS, CORRECT AMMUNITIONS ETC.

    6) PUNISH THE PERPETRATORS IF THEY ARE CAUGHT, NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE.

We have the money...you guys had better start doing something...it's high time. Were are the so called UN AMBASSADORS? I REMEMBER THE DAYS OF OTOKOTO AND HOW OWERRI PEOPLE REACTED AND ALL THEM RITUALISTS HAD TO FLEE TOWN. THE TIME IS NOW...

I WOULD HAVE STARTED SOMETHING, BUT I'M IN DIASPORA SO....BUT AT LEAST I HAVE AN IDEA.

I ENCOURAGE CHURCHES, SCHOOLS, PARKS...MOUNT YOUR OWN CAMERA AND EMPLOY PURPLE PEOPLE TO MONITOR THEM....PROTECT YOURSELVES WHILE YOU ARE WAITING FOR GOVERNMENT.
DO YOUR BEST AND LET GOD HANDLE THE REST. GOD BLESS US ALL IN JESUS NAME.

  51. Awolowo to Ojukwu -
"Look, governor, you cannot secede. You cannot go alone. Just as you fear the North, the West also fears the North. The soldiers in the North are
occupying the West. So,we have the same common interest. But don't let us secede. Let us do whatever
we can do together to unite and confront the
North so that we can have a settlement on how we want to run this country. If the East leave the federation, the
Yoruba would have to leave the federation. "

    ReplyDelete
  77. Politic is so dirty, I'm so sad that PDP can use the Abuja bomb scene to campaign, instead of fighting corruption they are taking advantage of it, may God forgive us all

    ReplyDelete
  78. Why would PDP issue a statement that politicizes this tragedy, knowing fully well that a smear campaign of this sort shows a lack of wisdom in their party ranks, PDP needs to re-brand their image and stop throwing aimless darts at a shadow.

If you get the situation under control or even appear to show strength, the citizens will naturally flock to you. You need to build strength and stop helping your opponents score cheap goals by using your own hands to paint your vulnerability RED.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Politicians, so Pdp planned this to buttress their point. To make us believe APC is behind all this! Smh
