The TV/Radio personality took to Facebook today to
register her displeasure on the purported signing into law of the anti-gay bill that seeks to sentence gay persons to
14years in prison by the
president.
Seriously...i don't get it...why is she pissed? What has the word 'consent' gat to do with orientation that is totally alien and anti-Nigerian tradition and cultures? We might as well conclude that Tosin is gay! Infact bad riddance to bad rubbish!!!

She is so right. The law is wrong on many fronts. For a start, it is futile. It will not stop gay children being born every minute, just like white and black and albino and left-handed children. We've been celebrating Mandela's stand against apartheid, ignoring the fact that homophobia is on a par with apartheid. It is discrimination against an intimate sexual orientation that should be consummated between consenting adult human beings. Gay rights are human rights. This law upholds wilful ignorance. It is cruel, irrational, disgraceful. Politically, it is a masterstroke. Millions of Nigerians will applaud it, whilst ignoring the problems that plague and destroy our lives. However, in the long run, it is a terrible, disgraceful piece of legislation. Why aren't they asking the Arab gulf countries with their draconian laws and total absence of freedom speech to establish democracy and grant freedom and equality to their citizens?
