Anti-gay law: Dickson Iroegbu's Facebook message to Nigerian gays

Nollywood movie director, Dickson Iroegbu, who has faced gay allegations in the past, which he has vehemently denied, took to Facebook some days ago to express his thoughts on the anti-gay bill.

Dickson who works for the presidency as an Executive Assistant, Creative Entertainment & Tourism is in support of the bill. See his Facebook post after the cut...

In any case, the law now does not allow gays to do it in private. It ushers in a new era of witch-hunting and persecution.     Dickson, has finally confirmed that he's a bloody gay. Unfortunately, he is such a coward that he cannot be true to himself, rather, he had to tweet this utter rubbish in order to continue hiding from himself. Look at his tweet, "you can do your gay shit in your house..." For me and other discerning people, this is not a serious effort at gay people condemnation, rather, it is a clever attempt to justify his being gay, to wit, after all, he's is doing it in his house and not in the open. He wanted to create a leeway for himself by arguing that Nigerians are not against gay people provided they do it in the confines of their homes. He's is the only person so far that said that gay people can be gay in the homes, every other person came out in total condemnation of gay people.

    Mind you, I'm not, in whatever shape or form, in support of the anti gay law. I'm just trying to expose Dickson as a coward that he is. How could he stoop so low to condemn gay people in such manner, when he is gay in the first place?

    This is very typical of Nigerians. We are always to quick to condemn when someone else is involved, while hiding our true self. I can safely vouch, that half of the people that are in support of this gay bill have fucked their fellow men, and are therefore, gay. Unfortunately, you can always count on them to be holier than thou.
    I am as straight as a straight can be, but I don't support this anti gay bill. Whatever an adult does in the confines of his or her room does not suppose to concern us. We shouldn't hound gay people, I don't see any wrong that they have done. The only thing that I'm against, is the legalization of gay marriage. Anything other than that is tantamount to conducting inquisition against our fellow human being and, I don't see how our society will develop if we keep creating second class citizens. Chyke.

    Enough of this gay issues. If u make research into the foundation of the USA or UK constitution, which Nigeria also borrowed, you will realise the holy bible was a key source for information on what is right or what is wrong. Every law described in the bible as not acceptable is in todays constitution not acceptable. Murderers, thieves, greedy, adulterers, homosexuals, enslavers, liars, perjurers e.t.c if all of this is not right by law, why should we then pick homosexually & pass it into law. If these other countries have forgotten their roots must we follow in the same direction. No one was born gay I can say these having full knowledge of the disease. I call it a disease cause just like every other disease any one who is determined can recover. It is a more difficult one thou, cause in this case its a mind disease. I went through an all female secondary school & therefore have lots of people who back then where lesbians. Every time I engage them in discussions to find out why they allow this disease to get into them the answer would always be a senior student played with their body or initiated the act which they in turn will also pick another junior, & before you know generation after generation teaching the same evil act to the next. Tomorrow u are 18yrs, can't seem to enjoy the company of a man cause u were taught @ the age of 10 that its normal for a female to touch u in unthinkable manners, at that point you just say to yourself I'm gay.same goes to the male folks.     I really do not believe anyone is born gay. This is pure common sense. No infant has a fully developed mind as to know anything about life and be able to decide something as complex as sexuality,it's not a genetic character or trait that can be inherited or transferred. Influence goes a long way in the life of every human being. No matter how small it is any influence whatsoever contributes to one's personality. The physical environment of a person, the things he/she is exposed to, movies, music, neighbours, parents, siblings,friends philosophy and so on all contribute to a person's psychology and behaviour. These are all responsible for the choices one makes. Understanding this simple concept is the key to understanding this issue, so a real solution to this will be to attack that which influences people to see this behaviour as normal.
