    5. Is it just me or what she is saying doesn't make any sense. I've read it over and its either she is speaking dutch or she doesn't know how to write english. In which case, she has no business being a reporter. (Making a call to maiduguri cost 5000N of fuel) *eyebrow raised* Excuse me?

  14. Na lie she lie? We shouldn't be upset..we should be pissed at the common criminals we call leaders. We are so backwards its ridiculous. This is 2013 for pete's sake..we do not have any structure that qualifies to be called a police station..rather we have police posts. Postal system is shit..power is relatively non-existent..universities are on strike..graduates can't find work..and a stupid colored contact wearing aviation minister buys 2 cars for $2.6M dollars..not to mention the insane amount of money being stolen daily. I'll ask a question that most Nigerians probably never ask themselves.."What Happens When We Run Out of Oil"? Its very easy to want to get mad at this very ugly dutch journalist..but then..she's telling the truth. #uglydutchhermaphroditesalsohaveanopinion

  26. She's stupid, since she was enjoying she didn't complain, now that there's Gen problems she wants the world to know. Thunder fire u there, if u get enough u for stay for ur country. Pls travel to other places in the country and see some good things or shut ur mouth and do ur job.

  27. This chick lives and works in Lagos, not Maidugri. Let's do our research first, she probably did some research before writing those dramatic two liners. But Naija is deeply troubled sha, insulting her and asking her to leave won't solve any problem. Have you heard how much our brothers and sisters living in the UK and the rest of diaspora curse the country and people of wherever the find themselves? But do they leave and move back here? Hardly! Abeg leave dutch babe, if she wan stay for Lagos, make she stay. Enjoyment dey Naija sha

  29. Linda, Iam ur Tanzanian fan, i am very addicted to ur blog, i luv the comments manytimes u'll just find me laughing because of the comments but one thing makes me very sad is about tribalism, u'll find Igbo insulting yoruba and vice versa, i really don't find it cool, we r all one, we need to love each other.
In my country u can't ask someone which tribe r u, even if u meet outside ur country, u just talk and may be ask which city do u come from? But not which tribe r u.
I love ur blog but please try to avoid these types of comments.
Linda i think my comments dey sweet u, u never post them u just swallow withouth even chewing them, post this one bikooo( i love nigerian pidgin, lol) if i make mistake forgive me biko as i use a chinese phone to write this comment.

    1. For all those who criticize Nigeria, have you stopped to consider what kind of lowlife reporter this is. Who cannot even construct a simple, sensible sentence... I bet she came here because she is getting paid. What they don't pay people like her enough money in her country? Because if she came her out of humanitarian duties she won't make deragatory comments like that.

  43. This is far too much a complex country, steeped in black mire. The degradation of the north started way back with the collapse of the Justice system, were youth corpers, doctors, innocent men and women were killed in cold blood by marauding 'almajiries' influenced by their twisted envious leaders, in the name of religion, and the docile federal government watching. It only recently got way out of hand with Boko Haram. Dutch lady if you are reading this, GET OUTTA THERE and come join us here in the South to keep praying for the North!

All those criticizing the reporter, have you thought of going to Maiduguri one day to see the situation, FYI, GSM no longer works in maiduguri, you have to travel to Yobe to make a phone call and that's what she meant by making a phone all costs NGN5000. The situation is bad, let us accept this and start to fight and work for change in this country.
