The Esama of Benin Chief Gabriel Igbinedion hosted friends and business associates, including Dele Momodu, ONTV CEO Akin Salami and pastor Ituah Ighodalo to a 'super turkey' lunch at his home in Hampstead, London yesterday. See photos from the lunch after the cut...

    ReplyDelete
  46. He is just a show man. Together with his kleptomaniac son, Governor Lucky Igbinedion, Edo state was thoroughly looted. After 8 years as governor, Edo State was in a complete mess. They did what they did because they don't have the fear of God.

  55. NB:
Ms. Ikeji and fellow blog readers:

This individual who's been featured here and whose related pictures are been displayed is NO LONGER regarded as the Esama of Benin. A disclaimer was advertised on 2 newspapers a few years ago, of which Guardian was one of them, that he is no longer a recognized Chief of the palace [of the Oba of Benin] due to his own doing and as such should not be recognized as one since tradition forbids it. It's akin to a father disowning his son. Mr. Igbinedion is not even allowed to pay the yearly traditional homage/dance to the palace anymore.

    Oba gha tokpere, ISE!

    Edo n'Imose.

  56. Was it his birthday or is he dying? If no to either, why is it a big deal for a man to host his friends to lunch?

    ReplyDelete
  57. All this money nobe Edo peoples stolen money?

    ReplyDelete
  58. So, Esama too likes the Jamo rice n peas with kidney beans??? Why turkey though?? Give it to me with oxtail, anytime, 'T'. Got nothin against him, as he has ploughed his money into the Nigerian society.......haters will always find something nasty to say. And no, I am not from Benin, or Delta etc. I am a Yoruba citizen, who just admires people who are hardworking and who give to charity.

  59. Each and everything about the Igbinedions is revolting!!!!!
    An empire of thieves!!!!
