  85. A pilgrimage is a PERSONAL journey to strengthen, rediscover or fulfill a principle of one's faith. I am appalled at the number of persons and indeed govt. functionaries who have embarked on a 'pilgrimage' with the President.
I am not a soothsayer, but certainly the deep introspection necessary for a spiritual exercise will be absent in an atmosphere like this.
When will all this 'for the boys' end.

My dear Mr president, your heart might be in the right place but your brain is not(no disrespect sir)

Other world leaders would have performed the pilgrimage at different times,I'm sure sir that they didn't make it a photo session jamboree.and even if they did sir,our circumstances need a little more discretion sir.we have a lot going on that we should take attention away from our extravagant expenses rather than switch on the megawatts halogen lights.

This entourage is way too large.at whose expense was this?

You sir, should have gone to your God alone or with minimal fuss.all this sycophants around you won't look back if tomorrow you become a former president.you should know that by now as you have been in governance for long.the drums will seize the second you stop being the main attraction.

  163. Another waste of tax payers money.Pilgrimage is a very private matter and as such should be done with the funds of the pilgrim and during the vacation of the pilgrim.GEJ and his fellow government workers lack focus and are very insincere.
Nigeria leaders are very dishonest when its comes to adressing issues that have direct and precise solutions, all they do is to give the issues a religious coloration to cover up there lack of honesty and direction!

    ReplyDelete
  164. 'Pity the nation that is full of beliefs and empty of religion'.

Jesus condemned the Pharisees and the Sadducees for their hollow outward religious formality, they like to say long prayers in public places to be seen of men, they are like Graves, whitewashed outside, they dress to be seen of men, they like to sit in the front rows in the congregations.
Neglecting the true service to God and our fellow man will only result in our condemnation as one who strains gnats and swallows Camel- (Matthew 23:23,24).
