Is this a welcome development or...? Please share your thoughts...
It's a welcome development!!!! Go Oshiomole!
ReplyDelete-Emy-
When u compromise kidnappers is like u digging grave just as rulers of nija swim in corruption
DeleteWhen u compromise kidnappers is like u digging grave just as rulers of nija swim in corruption
DeleteAppropriate.. kidnappers are not rational and should not be treated as such anyway.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure ur one of dem..kudos to sir adams
DeleteNice one...how about death penalty for corruption?
ReplyDelete1st 2 conment..Hehehehehehehe. ..
Oshiomole should thread carefully before he signs innocent people to be slaughtered for nothing.
ReplyDeleteWith all the almost accurate investigative methods in developed world, their government still find it difficult to sign death warrants for the fear of wrongful conviction.
Now, imagine a country like Nigeria where its words against words. Innocent people go die tire.
I'm all for death penalty with video evidence...or at least; very increaminating evidence. Not hearsay as it is in most cases.

God bless u my dear.Naija is as corrupt as corruption itsef.
DeleteTrue
DeleteI agree with u on that!
Deleteperfect...
ReplyDeleteDeath penalty 4 corrupt politicians! All of dem.
ReplyDeleteIt works very well in China. That's why china is whr dey are 2day.
Personally i will say bad, but considering the rate of kidnapping in the country then he should go ahead. BUT Osho is a man of action and if he feels the best way is for him to sign such into bill then i will advice you all SEE THIS.
ReplyDeleteThat's good. Serves them right
ReplyDeleteno it is not. Death penalty should be advocated against. Life sentence shuld be emitted to kidnappers n d likes rada dan death penalty. Other countries are driving towards abolishing 'Death penalty', nigeria should be moving with what is obtainable rather than regressing.
ReplyDeleteA step in the right direction, this kidnapping mayhem is getting out of hand!
ReplyDeleteThey should be killed and fed to the Dogs.
ReplyDeletei support
ReplyDeletei support
ReplyDeleteMk dem no start wetin de no fit handle @ d end.
ReplyDeleteOga Adams take am easy now. Death sentence? Yes, if it involves murder, long sentences if it doesn't. But the issue of the house, that 1 i no gree. if a man rents a bungalow on a plot of land after telling the landlord that he is a businessman who deals in fabrics and it was confirmed. if that tenat now turns out to be a kidnaper, using the apartment as his den. will bros Adams demolish the house knwing fully well that the house is the only means of survival for the 80yrs old landlord?
ReplyDeletein a country with little rule of law and due process its worrisome
ReplyDeleteƔε̲̣̣̣̥§ pls, nice one. Opyfasco
ReplyDeleteI think it is the right thing to do. Kidnappers like armed robbers deserve no pity. Other states must follow suit.
ReplyDeleteI'm opposed to capital punishment but sometimes,if drastic measures aren't taken, certain ugly occurences as Kidnapping won't stop.
ReplyDeleteSo YES,YES,YES...death to Kidnappers!
I don't think lives should be taken, most of them do this out of ignorance. They should be made to go to jail to serve the appropriate punishments
ReplyDeletethis is a welcome development!
ReplyDeleteI agree with him!
I like d decision
ReplyDeleteI like d decision
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely a new development. It will rapidly curb not just the kidnapping rate but also the crime rate in the state.
ReplyDeleteI wish other states will emulate.
Whitefalcon.

ReplyDeleteWeldone oshiomole
ReplyDeletethank you! whether the government kills them or not, death is their portion. they shall die in the end, and feel the same pain in 1000 folds that they have inflicted on their victims & families.
ReplyDeleteWhat happens to those that kidnap our resources as a nation? Kidnapping is bad no doubt are they d only forms of criminal dat we av in d society today?
ReplyDeletePerfect!!! They'll leave Edo state now.
ReplyDeleteA welcome development!
ReplyDeleteWay to go!
Demolish houses used hmm what if the owners were not aware of what went down there
ReplyDeleteit is more than appropriate, if you can kidnap , u can kill or bomb sef...

ReplyDeleteDeath is not punishment for anything tho.. in my opinion
ReplyDeleteYCFOnline.com
Have you died before?
DeleteLmao, i love the question have u died before.
DeleteThats very good....
ReplyDeleteKidnappers should be treated as such....
ReplyDeleteIts welcome. If ur relatives r into kidnapping, they shud b killed.
ReplyDeleteThey should be treated as such..
ReplyDeleteEdo rocks
ReplyDeleteyes, that is the best.the solution to crime in naija is death penalty.not only kidnapping, rapping, oil theft, looting of public fund etc if the the culprit is thoroughly investigated nd foun guilty.

ReplyDeletehahahawuuuuuuh...ahahaha
ReplyDeleteWhat about rappers...... They are worst dan kidnappers.
ReplyDeletefinest governor
ReplyDeleteI believe its a good way to discourage kidnappers form carrying out their nefarious activities. nice one there.
ReplyDeleteOsho baba!! Ur head is there! Lol...kidnapping has become a tin to worry in our country,I tink dis is appropriate
ReplyDeletefantastic!!! they should just ensure that they improve their police investigation teams so that they don't start killing wrong people..
ReplyDeleteNice way to stop them.
ReplyDeleteWish Jona did this too.
Hey all. Check out This site! It's a really cool website I earn $ CASH from.
That's the best decision any right thinking person should make while handling a matter as serious as kidnapping. Or Linda what do you think?
ReplyDeleteAbout time someone took a stand.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this 101%. They are making life difficult for people, acting like Robin Hood when the people they are catching are struggling families, while the rich are chillaxing. Nice one.
ReplyDeletehmmmm second to comment. That's so good of him kudos
ReplyDeleteThis bill is long overdue, same should go for Boko HARAM terrorists. We are not Americans or Europeans, we must find solution to our problems in our own way. Carry Go Osho Baba
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic, I hope they do this throughout the country. Now they need to do the same for armed robbers, and murderers.
ReplyDeleteThis bill is long overdue, same should go for Boko HARAM terrorists. We are not Americans or Europeans, we must find solution to our problems in our own way. Carry Go Osho Baba
ReplyDeleteI think dat's good 4 them.
ReplyDeleteHow about death penalty for looters?
ReplyDeleteWow dis man is mean.lets just hope it stops dem. Follow dis link and make cool money as ur online http://tinyurl.com/inviteby/?id=splendor
ReplyDeleteOf course it is a welcome development, this should strike some fear into them..

ReplyDeleteit is not a development, but the law is good
ReplyDeleteDats extreme,a jail term wud b better,I bliv nbdy desrves 2 die.evrybdy av a right 2 life!criminal or not!! Hian! *ONYX GODWIN*
ReplyDeleteKudos! Kudos!! Kudos!!!
ReplyDeleteI honestly agree with you, they deserve to die really,I just heard about one that took place in warri this afternoon at about 2pm...broad day light...habbaa
ReplyDeleteVery good remedy. Penology prescribes equal or higher measure of sanction to crime in order to achieve significant deterrence. It might not end it bt wl go a long way to reduce it drastically. Zion.
ReplyDeleteAtleast now they'll think twice before kidnapping.
ReplyDeleteI so concur.....!
ReplyDeleteOfcourse it is very welcome..kidnappers kill their victims even after collecting ransom from friends/family,they don't deserve any form of mercy
ReplyDeletePRETTY GIRL
Kidnappers deserve more than that because they are worst than animals
ReplyDeletePerfect.
ReplyDeleteLong overdue development. Kudos to Adams. Also need to provide child/youth friendly development environ
ReplyDeleteThis will really help.....
ReplyDeleteThis is not the best solution to stop or eradicate kidnappings in Edo state as it were; but I think the Governor should provide employment opportunities for the youths of his state.
ReplyDeleteMakes absolute sense. I think its high time we met drastic situations with drastic action. We're long over due for some cleansing in this countries and other states can take a cue from this. Well done Oshiomole!
ReplyDeletea good one. so sure d rate of kidnapping will drastically reduce der. i believe dis is a positive way forwrd.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for it. Perhaps this would shake them up a bit before they think about such act.
ReplyDeleteThanks you sir.
ReplyDeleteThe other governors will probably not do the same because the kidnappers, assassins and terrorists are their tools.
Again, thank you sir.
Toksyb.......
ReplyDeleteVery good ......Fashola wat r u waiting forrrrrr.......they should not even go to prison they should be killed life on Tv so others can learn.... foolish mean idiot.....
Yeah,kill em all
ReplyDeleteDeath penalty is regarded as a formal justice which it has been prayed to be eradicated from the Nigeria Judicial system. Though it will serve as deterrence for others...
ReplyDeleteI Like
ReplyDeleteDey deserve it ......
ReplyDeleteThis development will surely reduce kidnapping drastically. That's gud, I wish all other governors will follow suit.
ReplyDeleteMuerte a secuestradores! !! Good job mr governor
ReplyDeletefantastic! they deserve it.
ReplyDeleteWot if u kidnapped yasef??...inside ya own house...
ReplyDeleteYes,,,thats a very good one,,,,they cause so much tears and heartaches for people,,,so they shouldnt be shown mercy too....
ReplyDeleteYea linda, I love the development, it will help a lot...
ReplyDeleteI think that is not too hard on kidnappers..........
ReplyDeleteDemolished kwa?
ReplyDeleteyes it is...this kidnapping thing is getting out of hand....we need drastic measures
ReplyDeleteGreat step.
ReplyDelete =)) ˚°◦hahahaha .. Oshiomole is angry!! Ooº°˚˚°ÂºÂº ..
ReplyDeleteThis face sef.............na wa o....Lol
ReplyDeleteWelcome development. It should also be include rapist
ReplyDeleteThank God for governor Oshiemole. Atleast wt house demolition let me know who ll have the guts to harbour their victims. They even to trace the paternal village house of those kidnappers.
ReplyDeleteGREAT!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCorrect!
ReplyDeletetHE KIDNAPPERS are not nice people, so am glad there is a law to condemn the act.
I think other governors who have this problem in their state need to adopt this law...cos its sickening not being able to enjoy ur life or wealth u worked hard to achieve.....
This is so much welcome, i tell u if other governors should adopt this law, all these crime will be a thing of history. Pls they should also extend this law to boko haram and armed robbers and you will see nigeria will come back to her past glory.
ReplyDeleteWay to go. I like d sound of it
ReplyDeleteOshio baba you are the best ever.............
ReplyDeleteThey diserve it, so any1 who is indulge in d act wud also b think abt d penalty too if caught. I support u adams.
ReplyDeleteThis is so much welcomed, i tell u if other governors should adopt this law, all these crime will be a thing of history. Pls they should also extend this law to boko haram and armed robbers and you will see nigeria will come back to her past glory.
ReplyDeleteTougher penalties is what we actually need to govern this country, you will be surprised kidnappers would turn off from the state. no bail, no jail term....correct! nobody wan die
ReplyDeleteKill 'em all...
ReplyDeleteBBD
sure people does not have human feelings and as such should face the long arm of the law for treating and malhandling there fellow human as animals.
ReplyDeleteMy governor on point...I luv dat.
ReplyDeleteIt's a draconian move that's bound to hurt innocent people caught in this situation.
ReplyDeleteGood one but what of those stealing Government money in broad day light?
ReplyDeleteI think these ones too deserve death penalty not only in Edo state but every where in Nigeria.
Yes, is a welcome idea, he would kill by sword, must surely die by sword. Other gorvernors shuold follow suit
ReplyDeleteCorrect....but men which kind pic of the governor be this? That face and look fit give small pikin convulsion o
ReplyDeleteGood idea. The stupid kidnappers will think now b4 they commit the act. Btw, I think this kind of law should b signed on the issue of corruption too and Nigeria will b a better place to live.
ReplyDeleteThere should be one exception: Those who successfully kidnap politicians should be rewarded with amnesty / immunity. However, if they kill the politician, then they should be punished by forcing them to take his former political position. That should teach 'em! #openseason
ReplyDeleteTo be honest...Adams Oshiomhole is just too deceitful,he haven't done anything yet to pay back for second chance given to Him in office.
ReplyDeleteLinda giv urself brain ooo, post my comment bfor I kidnap u
ReplyDeleteVery welcome development.....I m beginning to love this Oshiomhole governor
ReplyDeleteThey should do the same in lagos. And tell ur hardworking brothers to desist from it! Shiooooooor
ReplyDeleteAbsolute!
ReplyDeleteVery welcome
ReplyDeletehmmm what about those mothers/fathers who attempt to take a child from an estranged partner who is being difficult about giving access....They go kill parent?
ReplyDeleteY'all will say Yes to it until one of your own is been caught. Good stuff!
ReplyDeleteBLASH
The same law was enacted in Anambra due to d high rate of kidnapping in d state and since then kidnapping was drastically reduced. So,I believe it's a welcome development.
ReplyDeleteGood response from an active Governor. Others only respond when their relatives are victims. They should be executed 21days after the exhaustion of the appeal process. Don't remand them indefinitely in prison for another administration to grant them amnesty. Good job.

ReplyDeleteVery much welcome.I am 100% in support of that.
ReplyDeleteIf people behavior like animals, they should be treated as such. Till they learn sense...
ReplyDeleteI think it is fare and in order. It will go a long way in reducing this dangerous act - man's inhumanity to man.
ReplyDeleteOur govt sef,if its affectin d poor, nobody will say anyfin concernin it.since nah dem dem nw dey passin death panelty.all dey luk upon is hw 2 kiLl nd kill.dey shuldnt say hw 2 better Nigeria nd Edo state.WaCK governo.nd d innocent ones will still suffer 4 diz.y d real kidnappers will never bi caught,God bless Nigeria nd Edo state
ReplyDeleteKudos to your excellency, let those bunch of criminals be hangd.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeletei concur completly with the bill and any act that will in essence bring down the menance of arm robbery and kindnapping in our societ
y in general
I absolutely agree with the law and infact the entire country should make death penalty for all forms of kidnapping ,i am sure it will reduce the rate of such crimes in Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteAwesome move
ReplyDeleteDis nah pure ooo. Wat if dey come kidnap d victim carry am comot Edo state?
ReplyDeleteThis should be welcome development. Kidnapping is getting out hand in the countries. We don't need their evil soul even for investigative activities. discover the new ways Nigeria govt are making youth to become self employed
ReplyDeleteGbam!!
ReplyDeleteYes is a welcome idea, he would killed by sword must surely die by sword, let other governors emulate him, enough of this nonsense.
ReplyDeleteIs a welcome development.furthermore,i hope federal government should emulate this positive and impose capital punishment for corruption and other related offences
ReplyDeletePolitrikcians abuse of power, 25 years to life wud b better. Politicians looting causes more harm than kidnapping. They can give them 25 to 100 yrs imprisonment, death penalty is too harsh when they gave Aluu 4 suspects bail and rapists also get bail. What's wrong with Nigerians way of thinking?
ReplyDeleteNYC-1 says: Foolish Idea! This form of deterrent will only harden these guys and make them ruthless to their 'catch.' It boils down to an eye for an eye affair; and sadly, the unprotected ones end up paying the highest price. What I expected this dumb guy to do is to create a sustainable program that will enhance employment opportunities for his people, not initiating brute force to address social problems Suppose his mother or relative is caught, will he be saying this?
ReplyDeleteLooting n stealin is worse.kidnappers aren't d worse criminals on earth.atlest dey unleash their terror mostly on d stinkin rich whch is beta dan BH,politicians, etc.life imprisonmnt is berra
ReplyDeleteHe is foolish. What of people who steal billions of naira from nigeria's pocket, they get an award. Nigerians are so stupid to see that this politicians are diverting attention from themselves and main issues like fraud etc
ReplyDeleteIt is a welcome development, but I know some strong headed goats will always blame d devil when they're caught. Rek 1
ReplyDeleteI feel the death penalty is a bit harsh, 20yrs imprisonment is more adequate. The death penalty or life is worthy when life is taking. This people don't have jobs and no school due to ASUU. Govt should create an enabling environment for them and there will be less kidnapping
ReplyDeleteSo easy to pass d law.what of d leaders dat steal in billions..
ReplyDeleteSure, dis is a welcome development..so it can stop d rate at which kidnappers go about killing people..
ReplyDeleteThat's a true governor with balls....I commend you SIR, keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteGovernor's decision spot on, a step in the right direction. Hope it can be enforced. Hope the Federal Government can follow suit.
ReplyDeleteI concur to dat absolutely, may b dat may serve as a deterrent for them in operating in edo and its environs
ReplyDeleteWatever ... Mahn ... I just think no one deservez 2 die ... no matter wat... : )
ReplyDeleteIts a welcoming news, kudos our dear governor!
ReplyDeleteThey should it please , kill all murderers and kidnappers but torture thieves before releasing them. This crazy fools need a scapegoat or a couple of them maybe the crime rate will reduce.
ReplyDeleteIF they have all the evidence to back up the actions of the culprit then they shld be jailed for life not killed... oshomole na u won change naija.. see em eye.. start with bombers abeg.
ReplyDeleteWell done my govnr. It is a good development. I hope other govnrs in NigerDelta will follow.
ReplyDeleteDeath Penalty is too much...but I guess it's meant to act as a deterrence...i don't agree with the death penalty for any crime tho...it's too much...
ReplyDeleteIs a welcome development.furthermore,i hope federal government should emulate this positive step and impose capital punishment for corruption and other related offences
ReplyDeleteThey shud make sure dy re d real guilty kidnappers not d one dt naija police will nw raid pple on d streets n when dey can't bail themselves, will label dem kidnappers...anytin can happen in naija.
ReplyDeletewell, its good thing but how about those politicians that abuse power by stealing, marrying underage and so on? They need to be incorporate in same punishment.
ReplyDeleteall these *POLITHIEFIANS* shebi as una dey back Up d kidnappers so we dont have to find out una won kill dem at d spot shebi. God help this our hypocrite *POLITHIEFIANS* una cup go full one day.
ReplyDeleteGoooood! This kidnapping ish in Edo staet has gone way out of hand. Sons kidnapping their fathers, business partners. Most of them are lazy ass cowards, they know nothing but how to make fast money, kidnap or travel abroad.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!!
ReplyDeleteI think if the penalty is castration. There would not be any talk of kidnapping ever again. It will just die a quick death.
ReplyDeleteDeath penalty in a corrupt country, with questionable human rights and fucked up judicial system. It's like giving a load gun to a kid. People need to run for cover
ReplyDeleteIts too harsh of a sentence. The real issue in Nigeria is the corruption. People are hungry, no jobs, the politicians and there cohorts are raping the futures of Nigerians and little is been done to bring them to account.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't right for pple to kidnap others but most of the kidnappers are seeking financial rewards that tells us they have been pushed to the limit.
I know Oshiomole personally he is a theif just on the other side.
Very nice! next time they would think twice about their own lives before going ahead with their evil deeds. But the demolishment of buildings in which they're found in is a little bit unfair cuz the owners might not be aware..so i guess they should rethink that one
ReplyDeleteThis is a Welcome idea. I recommend its full implementation. Armed Robbers have long changed business to Kidnapping. Desperate Politicians also fund kidnappers. All the other states are advised to follow suit.
ReplyDeleteIndifferent as long as they r punished for their evil ... The governor is the boss on dis matter and he should be respected for his position and office....
ReplyDeleteIndifferent as long as they r punished for their evil ... The governor is the boss on dis matter and he should be respected for his position and office....
ReplyDeleteDillicious Dillish in action!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a welcome development. Kidnappers should know that if they carry out their activities anywhere in Edo State and they are caught, they will pay the ultimate price. ALL genuine Edolites support this bill. Only kidnappers and their relatives and beneficiaries will not support it.
ReplyDeleteVery welcome, but...
ReplyDeleteCould such legal noose tightening be solution to the problem of kidnapping and the menace of kidnappers?
At the root of such heinous crimes as kidnapping, armed robbery, terrorism, etc is unemployment...
Just returned from a trip to Edo State...
Many Edo indigenes are not even happy with the so-called comrade governor...
They're miffed that he banned commercial motorcycle operation (Okada) in the state...
It is believed that most young people had taken to Okada for survival owing to unemployment...
But with the ban of Okada by Oshiomole, most have been thrown back into unemployment and misery...
There is palpable desperation everywhere in Edo State as we speak!
The Criminal Code had already made penal provision for kidnapping..
So, this move is only a tightening of the penal noose...
I am afraid it might only make kidnappers more dare-devil, knowing what they stand to face if caught...
The new law aint gonna solve any problem....
Solution: job creation; enhanced capacity for crime fighting by the police, etc....
Death penalty also for corrupt leaders if not it's unjustifiable .
ReplyDeleteQuite dicey and I don't think this would solve the problem.......this bill would only make abductors more ruthless with their victims leaving room for little or no negotiation once their demands are not met
ReplyDeleteMake this man no become president ooo
ReplyDeleteLinda na wa 4 u oh,why u nor post my comment since yesterday? E be like say na u I go take start d kidnapping. Gud one Oshio baba,it serves dem right useless pple.4rm Sex MaMa
ReplyDeleteLinda na wa 4 u oh,why u nor post my comment since yesterday? E be like say na u I go take start d kidnapping. Gud one Oshio baba,it serves dem right useless pple.4rm Sex MaMa
ReplyDeleteYeah. It think they should be dealt with but the death penalty on all counts is going to far.
ReplyDeleteits a good idea
ReplyDelete@Anon 6.42,then dem go kill u and destroy ya houz
ReplyDeletewhy didnt OShiomole just say the obvious-he is looking for a free land to build his retirement mansion with government looted money when he retires. Why demolish the houses? Is capital punishment the answer to having a safer society?what happens to creating jobs for the youth who engage in such demeaning actions due to lack of jobs? Oshiomole, tackle the root of the problem abeg, give graduate/youth jobs and see if person go think of kidnapping.BUT if u decide to continue with the bill sha, pass one first that says 'all corrupt politicians with their family shall be executive and their wealth, houses distributed to the needy'
ReplyDeleteWhat of our corrupt leaders Death penalty should also go for them to balance equation lol! Anyway, tnx baba ohsomole.
ReplyDeleteGreat men, same should go for rapist and any one who attacks another with acid bath. The case would be investigated before persecution.
ReplyDelete
