Singer Michel’le opens up about being physically abused by Dr. Dre

Singer Michel'le and super producer/rapper Dr Dre dated from 1990 -1996 and had a son named Marcel born in 1991. Michel'le went on to marry Death Row Records founder/CEO Suge Knight in 1999 and had a daughter with him.

In the final episode of the inaugural season of “R&B Divas L.A.” Michel’le opened up about being physically abused by Dr. Dre and revealed the abuse from him and another boyfriend was the reason she got a nose job, because of the physical damage she suffered in their hands.

Well, her revelation upset a lot of fans who verbally attacked Dr Dre online. Dr Dre hasn't responded to the allegations yet. Michel'le ended up having to defend him from upset fans a few days ago urging them to calm down. See her tweets after the cut...

Fun Fact: In 1991 Dr. Dre attacked TV personality Denise "Dee" Barnes over an interview she did with Ice Cube after he left NWA.

According to reports Dre caught Dee at an album release party in Hollywood where he picked her up and slammed her against a wall several times and tried to throw her down a flight of stairs, kicking her in the ribs and hands, while his bodyguards held people back.

Dee fled to the ladies room but Dre busted in an grabbed her by the hair and punched her repeatedly in the back of the head.

  1. The plausibleness of her claims may not be ascertained or proved to be veracious but I tend to want to believe her, but I don't ever get to understand women that take such shit from a man, its a simple thing, he will definitely do it again, forget the "love is blind" cliche, love nowadays has the eye of a microscope, it should see clearly, be you a man or a woman.

Eminem even rapped about it on "Guilty Conscience"
Guess that's why hour named his headphones "beats"
I still like him though, for giving us some of the best beats ever in Hip-Hop!

    1. U are the stupid one. He didnt support Dre for beating a woman just because he produced some decent beats in the past. Most women are quick to crying and shouting when a guy hits them. But 60% of the time they are the ones starting the violence and slapping the guy and after he retaliates it turns to violence against women.

      Delete
  37. Some Nigerians and their blind, sentiment filled judgements. You people keep shouting and crying about violence against women all the time as if it doesn't happen to men too. I've witnessed a scene where there was an argument btw a man and a woman and before you know it she raised her hand and slapped the fellow. She repeated for about 4times during the argument just bc the fellow didnt retaliate. Not until another lady who was witnessing the incident stepped in and dealt her a hot slap. 70% of the time you women start the fight and hit the men. When they retaliate it becomes violence against women.

  39. Its out of propotion cos bitch talked too much back den I can remember being a fan of N.W.A... Everybody hated denise cos NWA broke wit her spicing it up wat do u expet when someone first trow stones at u? U will retaliate

    ReplyDelete
  40. Can't support beating women. By the same token, women need to watch their sharp tongues and yes, their quick hands. They can be quite violent too. The alternative is for a man to walk away from her and shut her out emotionally. That cold, silent treatment hurts some of them more than slaps.
