Fight breaks out at House of Reps as new PDP meets lawmakers

A meeting between the seven governors of the new Peoples Democratic Party faction, and members of the House of Representatives has ended after fighting broke out.

The governors, alongside the chairman of the faction, Abubakar Baraje, met first with senate president, David Mark. A follow up meeting at the House of Representatives with Speaker Aminu Tambuwal, and members of the House, degenerated into chaos with supporters of the Bamanga Tukur-led PDP jeering at remarks made by Mr Baraje.

The chaos soon escalated after two members, Dagogo Peterside and Henry Ofongo, from Rivers and Bayelsa states respectively, went up against each other.

Mr. Baraje told Mr. Mark that President Goodluck Jonathan must give up his ambition for a new term. (Source: Pemium Times)

These lawmakers are ruthless, useless, shameless, conscienceless, classless, senseless, mannerless, brainless, careless, lawless, heartless, Godless, worthless, needless, clueless, idealess, baseless, gutless, fruitless, visionless, missionless, shoeless, meaningless, fearless, and you can add your own 'less'

    3. I have a dream, that one day nigerian politicians will fight in their chambers for the end of asuu strike forever.
I have a dream, that one day law makers will fight in parliament to enforce affordable and quality health care in nigeria.
I have a dream, that one day nigerian politicians will argue and fight why state owned properties and infrastructure are in a deplorable state.
I have a dream, that nigerian leaders will fight to find a lasting solution why things just don't work for our children and their children.

A fight broke out in the chambers first between some other persons!!!
Before another scuffle broke out between DAKUKU (not Dagogo) and Henry!
The unruliness did not escalate because of Dakuku and Henry!

  56. Politics is rubbish in Nigeria, altercations and fights are allowed, For Christ's sake they are human! But fighting because they want GEJ to give up his ambition tells you something, PDP candidates are a shoo in for the presidential positions, they make that conscious decision for the electorates, they have taken away their franchise, their ability to make decisions. So the new PDP wants to tell us that Nigerians can't decide if they want GEJ or not? Political scene in Nigeria has pass that stage were you talk of change 'the sooner the better', NO! What we need is a Jerry Rawlings treatment, complete eradication of the ad eggs that have had a strangle hold on the Nigeria politics not contributing but continually chipping away at her sanctity and sanity. PDP is the worse and seriously I can't wait for them to fail and pack up.

  59. This is very good. Oya let us pity PDP and pray for them. May this party continue to experience crisis. We come against every spirit of successful resolution talks, my all resolution talks end up deepening the crisis within the party. We pray that the next time this kind of fight will be happening it won't be between the law makers but between the governors of New PDP and Old PDP. We pray that this party will not be peaceful until after 2015 election. We prayer for tougher crisis in PDP in months ahead. So shall it be.

  68. Why would any southerner or Easterner want a northerner rule him or her again. If it is not Goodluck Jonathan, let Nigeria disintegrate. Enough is enough for this born to rule touts from the North. I wonder why anybody will think that Tinubu will give in to Stubborn Buhari. Let us call a spade a spade. I think it is high time for revolution in Nigeria. Yes Revolution. I do not see peace in Nigeria in the near future. If a NORTHERNER emerges as president, the Niger deltans will make Nigeria ungovernable for him since it is now since that regional and individual interests overrides national interest. I weep for my nation, the giant of Africa. What a shame on all our leaders.

They should fight and kill themselves for all i care, they donot have our interest at heart and all these fight they are fighting are for personal interest and please Nigerians dont be fooled because in this game there are no permanent enemies, they always have a place they meet and make-up then laugh over the masses when they are offered juicy offices!

What plans do we have to REALISTICALLY & PRACTICALLY get BETTER? What should be more frightening than a disastrous/hopeless future? How would things ever change if they are not DEMANDED to...?

Please, lets stop criticizing what we have accepted and are obviously not ready to do without, stop bothering our Ever Generous God with mannar we would never go outside to gather and feel our hunger, and stop wondering where we are headed/future of our children cos its Obviously worse than you can imagine?...#Nonsence!!
