    2. Like it'll make a difference. This is the norm in Naija. Last time I was home they tried to sell me fake bottles of Henny and/or Rose pretty much everywhere I went to. Especially when it starts getting really late. Rose tasting like palm wine and Premium "Henny" that has a screw top cap and burns the shit out of your throat (if you know your liquor you'll understand what I just wrote).
Anyway I stuck to cranberry and redbull after the first wkend. Abi dem get fake redbull too??

    1. A lot of truth I tell u! Experienced it soooo many times in different states in d country. Some prey on people/tables ordering bottle after bottle...so they serve up d good ones say for d first 2 bottles after which d customers are tipsy and chasing woman so they won't notice, then they roll out d fakes. Ohhh d fake moet rose?! Can't deal, taste like piss! That one is everywhere but no one notices. Worst case I've seen was a bottle of grey goose that turned out to be water! H20!manager apologized, free bottle of another one...now imagine they had served that up to some already drunk/tIpsy guys? they'd have drank it up! Placebo effect hehe #JayBeyBlu

  28. This happens in the US too! Apparently some clubs/bars carry knock off alcohol. Recently p.diddy has been on TV ads campaigning against knock off ciroc bottles out there. Bottom line it's not just in naija

    ReplyDelete
  29. That's way too bad. What won't a naija man do to make money. It shud be investigated and those found wanting shud be appropriately sanctioned.

THE TRUTH IS IF YOU BUY COKE ON THE STREET, YOU ARE MOST LIKELY BUYING FAKE 99%. 80% OF THE SPIRITS AND WINE ARE FAKE. SIMPLE WAY TO KNOW: BUY ANY BRAND FROM HEATHROW ON YOUR NEXT TRIP OR DUBAI AND COMPARE WITH SAME BRAND IN 9JA. YOU WILL BE SHOCKED

  51. I don´t think it should be necessarily called "fake alchohol". It´s alchohol with very low alchohol content. Clubs do this trick worldwide. They could sell 2,5% vol instead of 5,2% unknowingly to guests.
TIP: Always order in corked bottles!!!

Ananymous August 22 11:37pm, that you were not previlaged to be an igbo child doesn't mean you should show your frustration publicly, igbo imitate designer because they want to come down to your level, its obvious that even in 40 yrs time that is if you are not dead by then you won't still be able to afford designers, the least you couldve done if you had any attom of sense in your fat head is to say tanx and stop being a complete anuofia....igbo kwenu joor...hapu onye ara ko ne zuzu..
