EFCC arrests man with 30 ATM cards and 8 signed cheques

Below is a press release from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested one Kingsley Mudi over alleged ATM fraud. He was picked up at about 11 pm on August 2, 2013 at Fidelity Bank ATM on Airport Road, Warri, Delta State following an intelligence report.
At the point of arrest, 30 ATM cards of different banks with which he allegedly withdrew a total sum of five hundred and fifty thousand naira (N550, 000) were found in his possession.  Eight signed UBA cheques belonging to sundry persons were also found on him. Kingsley Mudi, who claimed to be a Disc Jockey and an operator of a barbing salon, has volunteered useful information.

He will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

    2. @8:41..I think its u who needs to think before u comment, what do u do when given an ATM?don't u go to withdraw money with it?what Mich meant is credit cards with which one won't have to see the money phsically but can still purchase goods as its done in some countries.he raised a very good point that u could have argued reasonably against without saying he should think or if he went to school @all.

  51. Evidence is supposed to be kept in an evidence room, right? So can someone tell me why is it that in Nigeria suspects are mostly snapped with the evidence? Well Nigerians believe what they see and hear. He could be the "the fall guy". How does a petty thief cram over 30 ATM pins in his head? It will be hard for any security agency in the world to catch such a person. Pls Nigerians stop been victims to what I call "mind games"

  81. A lot of questions need to be asked. How did these ATM cards and the signed cheques get into the possession of this fraudster?
How did he get to track the pin code of all these cards? He must have been collaborating with some insiders in carrying out this nefarious acts. He should be quizzed so hard.
