MI Abaga set to release new single; to speak at Harvard University

After a 3 year self- imposed hiatus due to business purposes, multiple award winning rapper M.I will on February 21, drop the first single off his upcoming album which is slated for a June release. On the 10th of February, the rapper is also slated to speak at the African Leadership conference at the prestigious Harvard University alongside Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

Since his record- breaking album MI:2, MI has been appointed Vice-President for Music at Chocolate City, founded Loopy Music, been appointed an active UN  ambassador for the Smuggling of Migrants and has featured in no less than seven music hits.

“I don’t have any other information except that it’s going to be beyond anyone’s imagination,” MI said in reply to a question. “Everyone just has to wait a few days for the unveiling to begin,” he added with a smile.

Feelers from his office suggest that the rapper and label Chocolate City are pulling out all the stops for M.I’s upcoming album. The rapper is believed to have scored some of the biggest international collaborations and is set to once again raise the bar as he takes the top seat in Africa’s rap game.
MI whose second album MI: 2 broke records online and off the shelves was listed on Billboard as one of the top sounds in 2010. The MTV award winner and BET nominee is credited as the force that forever changed the rap game in Nigeria, transforming the genre into a commercially viable enterprise.

  18. Linda i saw this on twitter. This twitter dude @ifoghale2012 sent Genevieve Nnaji a link showing her a painting his cousin "Prosper Akeni" did of her. Maybe Prosper Akeni is nigeria's answer to Kelvin Okafor (the british dude whose paintings wowed the world).

  19. I love MI with passion, he came @d right time at a time when Ruggedman(I'm his fan anyway) was making us believe rap cannot be done commercially in Nigeria the proper way unless in our mother tongue and pidgin. But Mr Incredible made us know dat is nothing but bullshit with his lyrical and rhyme flows. The next thing Ruggedy baba quick go do collabo with him, and even one of his disciples, Ice Prince. Today, pple are doing rap the right way and smiling to the bank big time. MI, truly u're d king, but Ice Prince is incredible, thank God he's also a Choic boy.

  34. I am a big fan of MI!! BUT!!!!

LOL to the highest degree!!!! Its the african business association there which is dominated by Nigerians!!

Its held every yr in Feb, and is more of a networking and social event.

Harvard (the actual university)did NOT invite him, na simple business club that did, like others have stated. Nigerian una too do, cant believe MI's PR people released this nonsense, trying to over glorify it. Linda they could have very well invited you as well, its really no big deal.

    1. Jay o! Thanks for the info! But Linda didn't suggest Harvard University invited MI to speak. She said he will be speaking IN Harvard University! And from your own info, the whatever event will be held IN Harvard university..so I don't understand what you are on about.
You and some other folks here seriously need lessons in logic and critical reasoning.

    2. Harvard is Harvard. If my daughter goes and I speak to her mates in her dorm room, that's speaking at Harvard!!!!!! I will put it in my résumé. If Tony Elumelu can get certificate for a one week course and be proclaiming that he went to Harvard, or Harvahhd, as those of us who went there call it....

  55. Many cities don't really have specialty formal shops, so some girls will be disappointed at how few choices they have for a prom dress. As I did at home, I'd have mу bizaгrе rituals of communing with archaic items, though noω with more sоphistication.
