Video: Chelsea Star Eden Hazard Kicks Ball Boy During Match

Chelsea star Eden Hazard was sent off for deliberately kicking ball boy Charlie Morgan in the ribs during a semi final match against Swansea City today Wednesday January 23rd. Like the commentator said, Hazard's behaviour is inexcusable. Before you support him, imagine that was your own son.

Meanwhile, Eden told Chelsea TV that he has since settled with the ball boy:
"The ball boy came into changing room, we had a quick chat. I apologized and the boy apologized. It is over. Sorry"

  13. If I were the father of the ball boy, I would beat him seriously after the game for his wrong behaviour!!! As a ball boy, your job is to assist players get SWIFTLY to balls which have gone out of play and not to hold on to balls simply because your home team is ahead!!! Young boy, you better thank God you didn't end up with broken ribs! #Stupid teenage ball boy#

  16. All he had to do was get a different ball from another ball boy.Apparently the boy is Charlie Morgan, 17, son of Swansea director Martin and had earlier bragged about his plans to waste time as a ballboy during the game when he tweeted just hours before kick-off.

    ReplyDelete
  17. He must b very stupid.hissss,d poor chap.

    ReplyDelete
  18. They were both wrong. The boy was play acting and the latest is that his Dad is a Director of Swansea. Also, his Twitter feed said he was going to play act in his last game as a ball boy. They have both apologised.
Congrats to Swansea for getting to the finals!

  19. this commentator is very silly.John Salako and co on Sky sports saw this incident for what it truly was.a time waster.Eden kicked the ball.the ball boy was just holding on to his side for nothing.

  22. In a moment of madness and impatience....No matter what happened between the 2,the kick was not worth it,hazard should have just waited, the boy could not have held on to the ball forever...

  25. Gross irresponsibility, d game has rules n one expect hazard to b a professional n leave dat to the officials. Such conduct is likely to cause a breach of peace in football grounds n should not b encourage. Extra time in football is meant for such acts portrayed by d small boy n hazard knows dat. Worthy red card.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Stupid ball boy.. Hazard didn't even kick the silly shit hole well.. all of you coming to pass judgement on Hazard here should please just STFU and have a seat. If you have ever played soccer you will totally understand his reaction.

    ReplyDelete
  29. dat was realy inexcusable. imagine wat frustration causes. he's a professional and such act needs accurate penalty other than a red card

    ReplyDelete
  30. People saying dat he kicked d boy, am sure u guys didn't watch d match. The ball Boy was wasting our time. He shud be flogged. And Hazard didn't kick d boy, his intention was to kick d ball out of d boy's hand.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The boy is he-bitch. What an act.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The referee should also have give the ball boy red card as well...

  34. But wait first, for all those supporting what eden hazard did, have u seen the kick? that is very unacceptable and only God knows how you can support that even if you support Chelsea ah ah! where is your sense of objectivity even the real chelsea fans who buy season ticket worth 8000 pounds cant be so disgusting. We are really in trouble in this country, and those comment i believe are from our supposed 'leaders of tomorrow'. SMH. Imagine 2face giving you a very dirty slap because you mistakenly stepped on his shoes.

  36. Negative publicity the bane of chelsea, no wonder they havent enjoyed the glory of winning the champions league, because their players want to always be in the limelight all the time for the wrong reasons, john terry, ashley cole now eden hazard. shame on you if made any comment supporting Eden hazard.

  37. Yes, the boy was wasting time, but Hazard should have been more professional here. Sometimes its bad to be under pressure like Chelsea was but Hazard should have acted like the adult that he is, maybe drag the ball from the boy with his arms or turn to the linesman and report this

  43. Oh common guys, whether the ball boy messed up or not it's not an issue because Eden is a professional,he shouldn't have done that. Even if Eden was my brother i would not support him. By the way i'm a true chelsea fan

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hazard may be wrong for kidding the boy but that boy held on to the ball for too long and Chelsea was 2 goals down...I understand he did the kicking outta frustration.

The boy was definitely calling for the kick!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yes the boy was wasting time but that's not a reason for hazard to kick him,he doesn't deserve the jersey if he's gonna continue like dis. What if it was a player that was wastin time? I'm sure he would kick him too. I know the boy was wrong, very wrong even but Eden made him right by kickin him and also made him a hero, stupid hazard. If he was my brother(Eden) i would still write dis and also tell him to his face

  50. I am not trying to justify Hazard but that ball boy or whatever shouldnt be allowed near the ball anymore..whats he did was totally againt the ethics of the game..Period!

  51. Linda not seeing ur video link ooo

    ReplyDelete
  52. bcos de boy was holding on to the ball, does dat justify Hazard kicking him? we see players and goal keepers wasting time via all sorts of delay tactics, so does dat mean in such instance, you rush to the goal keeper or player and kick him???? the ref is there to add time to make up for any time wasting, pls people dont judge wrongly, we have to condemn what hazard did, he is a professional and should have acted maturedly.

  54. The job of a ball boy is to assist in bringing to play all loose balls..let's reason it this way an assistant referee holding on to the ball for no reason at a crucial minute..for me I will not only kick the stupid boy I will send a punch to his face!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Linda pls plssss!!!!!!he didn't kick the boy,he kicked d ball out..both of them re wrong.n they ve both apologised and the boy is not pressing charges...it was in d heat of the moment ,hazard was getting frustrated and d boy was vin fun.it cld happen to anybody plss for pple insultin hazard, wonder wat u do wen u re frustrated or angry too,bet most of u do worse.he s human

  56. Lol, Linda I love you! But don't report half-truths without including the facts in a bid to sensationalise stories oh!

    1) the ball-boy PRIOR to the match bragged about his intention to engage in time wasting!! He is nothing but a chav! Ie a teenage thug.

    2) this ball-boy is 17yeas old not 12 or 13! The picture you're painting of a young, vulnerable child being kicked by hazard is inaccurate. Under criminal legal system in England and as far as criminal responsibility is concerned, a 17 year old is considered and adult and tried as an ADULT!

    3) this ball boy is the son of the director of Swansea. Swansea should be investigated by the FA and if found guilty of instructing the ball boy, be penalised and heavily fined!

    4) 'time wasting' during football games is an offence and football players who are suspected of participating in this activity I.e CHEATING are usually given yellow cards! It is not a minor offence.

    5) Hazard only just turned 22years a few days ago! The age gap between hazard and the ball boy is FOUR years only!

    6) watch the videO carefully, Hazard attempted to retrieve the ball from the silly ball boy wit his hand yet the boy refused to return the ball, in the tussle to retrieve the ball, the ball-boy fell down and yet CONTINUED to hold on to the ball, proceeding to LIE on the ball and smother it to prevent Hazard from getting the ball, this occurred at the peak of a heated football match oh. So Hazard still tried go get the ball using his hands and then slightly jabbed the ball to kick it away from the boy (which he successfully did, the ball rolled away from underneath the boy). The ball boy then out up an Oscar-winning act groaning and rolling in pain as if Hazard had viscously kicked his ribs.

    7) hazard DIDNT kick the boy's ribs, he slightly kicked the BALL which was underneath the boy. Even if hazard did make contact with the boy's ribs, it was accidental and not deliberate! And clearly exaggerated by the ball boy.

    8) the police didn't press charges against Hazard, if Hazard had indeed assaulted the ball boy, criminal charges would have followed.

9)footballers have spoken out in support of Hazard, condemning the actions of the ball boy. Eg Gareth Bale, Michael, sports pundits etc.

Jeez, such knee-jerk reactions from some Linda Ikeji readers who haven't bother to get the facts!
